  • Even if this has 400 hp, which it doesn't, it would torque steer you right into a tree

  • @benrice33 This video has been on youtube for 4 years, and every day I still get idiots saying this. Civics can make anywhere from 50 to 700hp, it's not really a myth anymore.

  • Bad ass car, hoping to get a hatch soon

  • What is the model of this wheel ?

  • @GoRamiro Volk CE28n

  • Wow...big woop. 10 years old...I got a '88 Volvo 240 with going on 300k miles...Original engine. 10 years on a honda is nothing special.

  • @UGotKilledByACamper Sweet, did the Volvo make 400whp, and run low 11's too?

  • @sinitron Sure didnt. Made a whopping 160fhp and if I had to guess, would run upper 16's. But had 300k original miles. Good luck with that in your Honda.

  • @UGotKilledByACamper I have had stock Honda Civics with original D16 motors at 250k-300k+ as well. As long as they are properly maintained (timing belts, proper parts) they run fine as well. They never died, I sold them running.

  • @sinitron Glad to know someone actually takes care of their cars.

  • @UGotKilledByACamper my buddys el has 485k. its a d16y8

  • @UGotKilledByACamper u volvo fagot volvo isent even in this i had a civic hatch ran up to 475,000 with no problem only reason i sold was becouse of rust. volvo sux, civic 4 life

  • @akon10136 lol u honda fagot. honda sux, BMW 4 life.

  • @Manpinkster3 nobody takes anyone seriously who types like you.

  • @Manpinkster3 im not a a huge honda fan but the honda that will smoke you BMW is a Honda S2000 with 701 hp hahaha .. your bmw aint much of a car get over yourself

  • @UGotKilledByACamper boosting an n/a motor and having it last ten years and not even smoking? THATS A BIG FUCKIN DEAL DUDE

  • do you know what exhaust it had? clean ass car by the way

  • nice

  • clean car yo

  • thats a tight car :]

  • what color are the rims?

  • @xSgNtFuUkNkiDzx Volk ce28 bronze

  • Too bad this is wonrg wheel drive.

  • @cyberhendrix HAHAHA - "Wonrg" wheel indeed.

  • @cyberhendrix Retard.

  • @cyberhendrix LOL fail

  • @ JonQruz and Sinitron - This is exactly how I feel about the newer models too. The 9-95 EG Civics will always be the best :)

  • nice...

  • Sounds amazing. I was actually hoping to see a bubble but it still looks good.

  • pretty sweet car man

  • hey bro what kind of turbo u running and blow of vaule it sounds CLEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! love it

  • @caamalrandy

OMG Its called blow off valve. And for people that already know how its spelled most likely will initial it BOV

  • I don't know why, buy I just think 93 - 95 Civics' look really nice compared to the other civics lol.

  • @JonQruz Newer models always look strange, and make the older ones look better. Applies to almost all cars and brands. Look at all the retro Ford, Chevy, and Mopar models. They knew they had it right the first time.

  • @sinitron i guess it has something to do with people wanting bigger cars with more space and comfort . as people got lazier and started walking less they started wanting big cars with luxury and comfort so they invented the suv . its the suv that killed off most of the sports cars . people started caring less about performance and more about comfort and luxury. so in order to compete against suv most of the jap cars got upsized and turned into mide size and full size sedans.

  • thats cool, I bet you surprise a lot of people!

  • sell that and just get a mazdaspeed3. please

  • @slickvibez16 I owned a mazdaspeed3. It was fun for a year until the PCV system failed with no fix, and the turbo seals went. I got rid of the POS in a year.

  • @sinitron good.

  • @slickvibez16 LOL Mazdaspeed3 is shitty... looks nice but oh so shitty 40k km disposable turbo

  • @slickvibez16 i have had civics up until 2004 got a scion tc got rid of that then i got a mazdaspeed 3 and after 1k miles my tranny blew and my rear wiper dont work ..so yea as soon as this is paid off im goin back to honda

  • @slickvibez16 Mazda is famous for transmission problems as where these Hondas are virtually indestructible. Couldn't pay me enough to take a MazdaSpeed 3 over a Civic Si

  • i like those rims they look nice on that civic, i have the same and black also. do u kno what kind of rims are those?

    thnxs

  • @lokinhosk7 - Volk CE28 8 spoke.

  • @sinitron thnxs! its funny cuz i have pratically the same setup and same color car lmao

  • classic example of people overestimating how much hp their civic is putting out. 400 whp? LOL. Put that bitch on a dyno and then post the results, it wont show 400 whp i garauntee you that.

  • @kylemac1231 Blue line is 16psi, Red line is 18psi on 93 pump gas. tinyurl(.)com/6cxrf7f

  • @kylemac1231 you're fucking stupid. a built 2.0L with a sc63? can make 400 without too much a problem. One of my good friends has a built gsr motor with a sc61 and he makes 455whp on 22 pounds. Is that the inline pro manifold? if so thats the same manifold my friend has. best log manifold out there.

  • This is one civic I approve of! Good work.

  • nice clean car u should upgrade ur exhast to a bigger size so it houlds more power

  • @MrHmoobpride - The exhaust was fine for the power level of the car. I wanted something subtle to match the car.

  • where'd you get your JDM amber corner lights? :)

  • @lesterevio - Don't remember, they were Vision corners from 12 years ago.

  • @sinitron you can paint the stock corner lights to make it orange right? i'm budgeting instead of buying JDM ambers..

  • @lesterevio - Uhm, I guess yeah. You could buy cheap Ebay copies if they still make them.

  • @sinitron Oh.. thanks man! :)

  • the first honda actually done right lol

  • @arrowman236 haha agree

  • thats pretty nice dude - is it still running on stock sleeves?

  • @2BarEG - Not at the time, no.

  • I'm building my gsr now and this just keeps my head cause it's taking a little while to build with no money but sick as$ car bro

  • ANYONE What kind of rims are these!!!! Anyone please!

  • @CESARfromESSJ - Volk Racing CE28N 8 spoke.

  • @sinitron Any big advantage to using AEM's EMS vs stock ECU with CROME or other reflash package?

  • @ladams00 - Huge advantages. Too many to list. Superior ignition and fuel control for huge injectors (ID1000 / ID2000), boost control, boost by gear, traction control, plug and play wideband support, ability to use coil-on plug conversions, remove the distributor (cam pickup), etc.

  • @CESARfromESSJ

or if your poor.. rota circuit 8's

  • this thing looks and sounds beastly

    -VW guy

  • 0:17 LOL!

  • beatiful JDM!

  • beautifull noise, and awsome clean car, keep it like that man! i got one myself clean like urs jus in need of that turbo now :)

  • i guess back in 2007 this guy was cool enough to NOT put a 5'' outlet shit pipe on it. good job.

  • SO. CLEAN. :')

  • Awesome car I remember it well wish i could go for a ride in it again... :)

  • thats so cool super clean and it more than 10 years now

  • Nice!!!

  • ahhh ahhhh AHHH! CHOO!! :] give your car a kleenex i think he sneezed :]

  • i love the guys imitation of the squeek

  • @darkshad9 The imitation is hillarious. I've seen this video on and off for years... and you are the first person to mention anything about it. Thanks for noticing the details.

  • @darkshad9 lmaao me too

  • @darkshad9 "Doodoodooo"

  • Nice vid and Civic. I remember seeing a similar car in Honda Tuning mag. 9 years ago. It was possibly featured in an article written about the new AEM EMS, which that car was running at the time? It mentioned something about 400 whp GSR motor.. it was definitely my "dream" Honda at the time! LOL

  • @BSTUBZ This car was originally on the west coast and owned by an engineer who worked at AEM. The first AEM EMS used to be inside (R&D #0001) w/ the gold case. It only made 260-280 wheel horse way back then on a mostly stock motor (1999-2000).

  • Nice paint job....

  • how long did it last at 400hp

  • @86carlo305 It's still running today.

  • So nice Civic.. <3

    its a Si right ?

  • @Jizonelos No, those were hatchbacks only. This was an EX.

  • @sinitron ah :D

  • @sinitron not exactly. the 99-00 coupes came si. 92-95 eg hatchbacks came si as well, but never ek hatches

  • @dyeguy239 - I'm well aware. There were also 1984-1987's, and 2001-2005's, and 2006+ as well. Clearly we're talking about the 92-95 body style shown in the video. Hatches only in 92-95, which makes the car above an EX coupe.

  • clean

  • fucking beautiful civic.

  • Nice set up!

    Thumbs up!

    (G-Phi)

  • Did you have issues getting that power to the ground on your Civic?

  • @ootput - No, when I had the car years and years ago, I ran 225/50/15 DR's in the front, and used an ITR transmission with LSD. It pulled just fine.

  • I think fixing up cars and making them better to your liking is cool but in my opinion civics are a waste because a hyped up civic (with original engine) is probably going to be slower then most sportbike that cost less...

  • @hunterziegelmann - I guess. Ask yourself this: Can you put 4 people in a sport-bike and chase down a Z06?

  • @sinitron but then ask yourself this question. can you even chase down a Z06?

  • @aszilagyi4292 - Yes, and those saleen or roush mustangs weren't much of an issue either. Remember, this was back in 2001-2003. People still think this was recorded yesterday for some reason. Remember, 400whp and 2600lbs is usually faster than 400whp and 3200lbs.

  • @sinitron haha well im more of a chevy guy so bravo on the stang kills haha. but clean build. i like that you spent your money on engine mods instead of the ugly body kits and the fat cannons ricers have. ;)

  • @aszilagyi4292 - Thanks. This was a long time ago. I'm now building a Challenger with a 3.4L Kenne-Bell supercharger kit for a customer. Good times.

  • @sinitron so true so true :)

  • @sinitron Amen to power-to-weight ratios!

  • @sinitron Not even if there was a single person in the car.

A z06 has more HP than that Civic ever did and it weighs less than your Civic ever could, short of stripping every bit of the interior but the drivers seat not to mention the vette doesn't have to be rebuilt every 15k miles because 18psi tares that little motor apart.

It doesn't matter anyway because the vette can round a few corners and you're left under steering into the ditch because FWD just fails at anything but a straight line.

  • @meatloaf666999 - If you think a Z06 of any generation weighs less than a Civic, you are smoking heroin. My car was 2650.lbs with full leather interior, stereo, and driver. More whp than a C5-z06, gets them from a roll every time unless they are running 100-shot.

  • @sinitron Even if that were true it still doesn't matter because you're car won't corner and put down power, FWD is a major flaw on anything but a daily driver grocery getter.

  • @meatloaf666999 - You are wrong. It's not possible for me to educate someone like yourself because you have such a narrow perspective and clearly no experience with circuit road racing or power-to-weight ratio vehicles. Your last comment of "A z06 has more HP than that Civic ever did and it weighs less than your Civic ever could" makes you look absolutely retarded. Every subsequent post you deliver does not help your logic.

  • @sinitron whats meatloafs deal? in my opinion, a well tuned 4 could potentially smoke any v8. I don't know a lot about cars but why would he think FWD is bad? and how could he possibly think a civic weighs more then a corvette???? sure my RWD truck is fun an all but there are different types of vehicles for different applications. I agree, he DOES sound very narrow minded

  • @MatthewTelles Very good. I deleted his other rantings. A good All-wheel-drive supercar is superior to both FWD and RWD. I spent a lot of time with Nissan-GTRs. The civic shown in this video was built in 2000 and it was a great achievement. People forget that. Compare that to a 2000 model year Integra type-R, or a C5 vette. They didn't even have a Z06 back then.

  • @sinitron well you certainly know more than I do about cars. I don't know if I could change the oil if I needed to haha

  • @sinitron no thats why race cars of just about any class (besides rally) is rwd as long as the tires are warm there shouldnt be much of a problemo i mean im a big fan of fwd and awd but rwd is the best so far....

  • @MrxskylineRB26 I haven't driven a civic in over 6+ years. I have an AWD now, and I'm very familiar with building road race cars and circuit events. Fast cars are fast, I don't see why everyone wants to turn things into a FWD, RWD, AWD battle all the time.

  • @hunterziegelmann Not to promote building up tin cans but a bike can't be driven year round and I'd sooner have a 45mph wreck in that tin can of a civic than ANY bike at just 25mph.

  • i like the car with no side moldings, check mine out :)

  • clean set up bud but u could make way more iv got a singel cam makin that much no lie im shur alot of people bullshit but at the end of the day ther all bull shiters im not

  • @scream0kid4life - Dude, this was 10 years ago, not last week.

  • more clips please

  • @PycakPlayer There are no more clips car was built in *2001*, it's sold now, I just put this up to show people the work we did almost 10 years ago.

  • Now thats a civic I wouldn't mind owning

  • 120 hp or 400 hp.... it's still just a civic...

  • @ncs553 - Brilliant! I hadn't noticed. Clearly, you are a beacon of wisdom.

  • :09 - :10 VTEC JUST KICKED IN YO!

  • im not a import fan but id love to see this guy throw in afew extra mufflers and pit it against a corvette, the vette owner's jaw would fall off as the little civic left him in the rear view, especially with afew extra mufflers to quite it up ,make it sound stock

  • I'm having a hard time believing that it has 400 wheel horse power.

  • @thehunter922 - Yeah ... it did... keep in mind this was almost 10 years ago, too.

  • That blow off valve sounds like pure sex

  • @UncreatedCow god i fully agree :D kind of nerdy but ... it is! :d love that sound

  • what is your exhaust ?

  • can u say surge wow

  • Nice Paint job

  • Yummy

  • nice and cute, im going to netherland to earn money for my own eg :D

  • its perfect

  • Funny how many fools think that all japanese cars are ricers xD Nice Car man and definitely no ricer

  • fuckin sickkkk

  • o wow this is nice. its rare to find non riced civics here on youtube

  • sick ass civic

  • Comments enabled? Sweet, I never get tired of watching this beast

  • 400whp from 18 psi?! Are you ricers reely that dumb to think this is a good thing? 18 psi of boost on a real car would put you close to 700RWHP..

  • @30aught6F150 No, I understand a few things. First, I understand you are clearly a fool, as you cannot spell "really". Second, I understand that with increased displacement, you will yield exponential horsepower if built and tuned correctly. Lastly, I'm not a ricer, I have built both foreign and domestic projects - all of them clean, and all of them made power years and years ago when constructed. Apparently you didn't see the date of the video either. Thanks.

  • @sinitron BRO fuck him, that civic is gorgeous!!!!!

  • @30aught6F150 its a 1800cc 400whp from 18psi is pretty good

    it aint a lazey v8

  • @30aught6F150 ya if you have a 6L engine

  • @30aught6F150 not everything with big power is fast btw =), theres more then just power involved theres alot of variables to build a fast car.

  • Do you still own this car? a 400whp Civic would be nice!

  • Built 6 years ago, sold 4 years ago.

  • Dang, do you know the whereabouts, or did you just lose contact with the car?

  • @azn069 I know exactly where it is.

If you have a question or need more info

    send me a private message.

  • No no, i was just curious, it's fine :)

  • super nice coupe man, good job *thumbs up* =]]

  • it looks like my civic but no where near yours lmao

  • very nice and clean i was goin say sounds like compressor surge at the end till i saw the info haha major props

  • Thanks for reading!

  • My god.... I fucking love this car!! :) Nice paint! I also have a turbo civic coupe, But it's just the d16 :(

  • Nice and clean

  • Sounds like the EMS needs to be tuned, because the idle is rough. With a nice engine management unit like that, it could be taken care of easily.

  • Listen guys, this car was built 5 years ago.

The reason the idle is popping is because it had one of the first CDI ignition boxes inside and they were still working the bugs out. It also had THE FIRST EMS BOX EVER inside of it. R&D#0001 ... it took lots of work to get it right.

  • I wasn't intending to offend. Sorry if I did. I appreciate a well built Honda ;) I wasn't paying attention to the date the vid was posted, or if it was ever mentioned anywhere as to when this vid was even made. Car is still really nice.

  • oO a friend got the exactly same!! with 17" falken azenis ^^ but just 1.8l type R turbo ^^

    good car man!

  • music to my ears

  • nice ass fuken car

  • nice work bro

  • Beautiful eg,any videos of it haulin ass?

  • hey man what tires are those??

  • 205/50/15 first-generation Falken Azenis.

  • Comment removed

  • @mt2twin

I love your complete train-wreck of a comment, you moron. Now go back and keep watching the questionable videos in your profile. Basshunter? You gotta be kidding me, it looks like a Mentos commercial.

  • love the bov sound dude...it sound mad nice i hope my gsr sound like that when i put the turbo on...

  • wow, nice to see an EG coupe with a ITR motor. GSRs and SIs are a dime a dozen. not saying theyre bad, theres just a lot of them lol....

  • lol jdmegsedan me too man i feel for u

    sick shit bro

  • that bov gave me a boner

  • love that noise man to sick cant wait to get a turbo running in my 1990 honda civic hatchback that shhit sound bestie 5 stars!!

  • got a little compressor surge from the HKS SSQ being set all the way tight there :)

  • This video was shot years ago, but I still get like 1 or 2 people a week telling me there is compressor surge in the video. The reason you hear the blow off valve work correctly followed by surge, is because it was building up 10 PSI standing still. Even after release, the giant SP63-76trim turbo is still spinning at 80,000rpm and needs to spin down - that takes time. Yes there may be a little surge because of that, but it never hurt the car or the turbo in the time I had it. Relax!
