  • I've got a few of these and I can't go anywhere near them cos the hairs burn my skin like a bastard

  • Does it ever bite u

  • @whitepuppy12 Not out of the cage

  • are salmon pinks mean?? like evil and attacking?..

  • @johnbc62 No, they're just territorial in their terrarium. Just don't try to pick them up inside the cage. Coax them out with feeder tongs "onto" your hand. Once they're out of their cage, they're cool, at least mine is. I can't handle mine anymore because the hairs itch too much.

  • ide piss myself if that was on me

  • Hi there are 2 colors for the salmon pink bird eater right? ive seen a black one with white hairs and a brown one! please eduacte me some one!

  • @Miguelsr1rst

Their all the same but go brown over the time till their next molt. They lso have redhairs on the abdoman

  • amazing salmon pink just gotmyself a 4 month old one , hes about 2.5 inchs already , big boy , lol also have a giant white knee birdeater aswell , any advice would be highly appeciated , thankyou , loverly spider ,:)

  • These are one of the fastest growing species reaching 6 inches in just 6 months!!! and yeah they ARE NOT A GOOD BEGINNER SPIDER!!! it well grow to be up to ten inches! (Which is totally awesome!) but yeah those Satae are some of the worst you can deal with.

  • I've been looking around for sometime now and doing my homework and I know now that i want a Brazilian Salmon. It'll be my first tho is it hard to take care of as a spiderling? any advise on taking care of the little gal?

  • i wouldn't recommend a Lasiodora Parahybana for your first tarantula species just because they are pretty Skittish and flick Urticating hairs often. But if you do want to get a Large species for your first tarantula i would highly recommend the Grammastola Pulchra very very docile and they can get to 7 maybe 8 inches full grown. the only problem is there slow growers take 5 to 6 years to fully mature and full grown adults are hard to find and very expensive. even spiderlings are $40

  • Nice LP, mine is exact the sime size.

Recently molted cant wait till she is a "MONSTER" :D

  • they look like they are always been tired but they can be fuckin fast

  • haha awesome i just got one of those today. only 1 inch long. cant wait till he gets HUGE.

  • what if it bit you? is it poisonous?

  • Not any species of tarantula known to man is poisonous enough to cause any serious threat to man. There poison is very weak to a human. there for no he is in no danger.

  • My LP is getting ready to molt, hes about 3.5 right now =]

  • @SugareeDead

How is it.. 2 years later?

  • Nice. I got mine it was still clear and I could barly see it. It is getting big fast. That s why I got it. She is a beast.

  • So is mine, a beast i mean. Getting ready for another molt cause she's stopped eating.

  • Hi herrwest.

I just bought one of these today. She's a juvenile, about 3 & 1/2 inches, and i was wondering how often do they molt at this age? I just thought i'd ask seeing as you're almost certainly gonna know. I tried finding out via the web but couldnt find anything,so if you could get back to me i'd really appreciate it. Cheers

    :¬)

  • Mine has molted once every 3 months or so. Growing fast!

  • Hahaha cool herrwest, thanks for getting back to me.

Are they supposed to be quite active as youngsters or do they only move around a lot more when theyre older? The only reason i ask is because mines hasnt really moved around at all since i got her. The temp and humidity are both at 75 so conditions are kinda perfect. I know ive only had her for a few days, but i just expected her to be a bit busy? lol. Maybe its just because of her new surroundings???

  • L9 :)??

  • oh god i want one

  • orribile

  • My baby Lasiodora parahybana is only one inch big :( He/she would be a snack for this one...

  • This one has molted since the video so she's even bigger! Don't worry, they grow quick!

  • That's a newborn sling everyone lol

  • It's not a newborn sling, more like a juvenile, oh and she's molted since the video. It's crazy how much they jump up a size when they molt!

  • I know, I was just making a goofy comment about how enormous these guys really get. I have one too and it's amazing watching how fast they grow.

  • Just wait until it gets full grown!!!!

  • lasiodora parahybana

when is young is some kind of aggressive

when getting older she will be more docile :)

    nice tarantula friend :)

  • mines just moulted for the first time todat and is prob the same size as yours if that little bit biiger and she is the same. she hate been poked out of her house but once she is on your hand she is so docile
