Aside of that, I personally think there is a difference between freedom of speech and freedom of opinion (dutch), and think Geert Wilders is acting extremely wrongly. I especially don't get how a country like the netherlands which was historically founded in acceptance (why do you think NL is one of the most multicultural countries in the world) is now allowing a person like Wilders to create such hate and destroy our very foundations.

@joostinspain May I point out that the concept of freedom of speech and believes was strongest in a number of countries like the netherlands, which were strongly christian at that time. The whole idea of freedom of belief might very well have orginated to some extend from christian believes. (Not entirely sure, international history isn't my strong side). And btw, I realise perfectly that under the banner of christian beliefs unacceptance has also been proclaimed, but that's true for any banner.

I live in Holland and I just don't know what to think. I do think he could calm down a little, but at the same time Wilders had the right to speak! And the Islam isn't always as positive about other religions either. A friend of me is moslim and she hates him, I understand that. But I understand Wilders to in some things he says.. I just don't know what to think about it.
