Wing Chun is descendant from Shaolin. Ng Mui (or Wu Mei) one of the few nuns in shaolin created this style and taught it to her pupil Wing Chun, the she taught it to her husband, etc.

Any way Wing Chun is only a style. What's more important is to train your body (Gong Fu) which is the meaning to all those breaking rocks and such.

Body builders may have nicer looking muscles for the Beach, but they can't lift as heavy as weightlifters or move with the fluency and frequency of a Boxer. In fact Body builders train to show off to other men in little panties, and unfortunately, this sort of culture got into the movies.

@konfuzion38 i wasnt referring to bodybuilding but muscle mass and symmetry matters in over all strength,if i trained like those shaolin guys you see in this video and ate the same food i would have still developed better muscles then them in terms of mass and id also have less body fat then them while still having the same quality in muscle fibers,optimal would be about the muscle mass a male gymnast has,but they never reach that,even tough their own training should be sufficient.

@konfuzion38 the only only problem is that they also have training routines that damage their bodies with little benefit in their endurance or anything else really,their bodies probably dont have time to grow any muscle on top of healing after training since the new muscle tissue that regenerates is based on the tasks they were performing,but one muscle fiber thats 100% stronger(or whatever) is not stronger than 3,at least they keep a good balance in skeletal muscle fiber types

and infact it is said that even Kung fu's roots are in India. When Indian Buddhist monks went to China as missionaries they took along their sacred martial arts to protect themselves from the weather, animals, people etc, and taught it to the people in the shoalin monastery area. It is from there that the chinese preserved what the Indian buddhist monks taught them and developed it into their own brand of Kung fu.
