We was at Cordova dragway park when they announced he had pasted away from hes crash. Shirley Muldowney and Big Daddy was there for that weekends race. she was so upset that she went into her trailer. She left shortly after the announcement. i know about the history with her and the Kalitta family.

Englishtown does not need to be closed, just reconstructed. I race there myself and i agree that the sand trap is dagerous. But c'mon Plex show some respect. When will people believe that Englishtown should be the next track closed down? I have said for years that Englishtown sucks with its messed up shutdown area. Scott didn't need to die! I can't believe he's gone, and equal to the grief I feel, is the fact that this should have never happened. Love the sport and the old history, but the tracks are not safe for these 330 mph cars! RIP Scott...

I don't agree that Englishtown needs to be closed, but they do need to invest in updating and extending the shutdown area to acomodate these cars. they have spent millions of dollars on there motorcross and roard course, but havent done anything in the dragstrip shutdown area since these cars were going 200mph. now they go 330+ mph. add to that the poor decision to put a propane powered crane at the end of the shutdown area.
