The name of the song is (also?) Write Once. They actually sing those "English"' words during the song/dance as the hold an index finger up and move it from their left to right. Translating human languages is hard, from Japanese to English especially, Poetry and Lyrics are harder, so no worries or surprises that the name of this song is problematic. No matter how you title this number, this song and dance are really, for me, the deepest meaning of the movie.

I just know デザート is somehow connected to the suicides. Mail me does have subliminals, but could a group of girls with an average age of 12.5 have organized it? Maybe Kumiko, Broken Dam and friends (from Noriko's Dinner Table) helped set it up...

technically, norikos dinner table is a prequel as it goes through suicide club. bizarre, but great :) i think that the message is that teens are influenced my media, in this case is dessert. in mail me it says "mail me, before i die" i guess thats partial to it. also the ending plays some ironay as its "live as you please", a direct counteract of all their other song influences.

noone has mentioned this yet, but the translation in the comments seems somewhat off. while there are a few inconsistencies in the verses, the chorus that carries the meaning (and also the title of the song "Write Once") is totally lost in the translation, so i felt compelled to comment.
