  • This is too late and too expensive. I need source code for MSP430 launchPad and application software for Android platform.

  • gangsta

  • This is awesome

  • like james bond car

  • i have two lego NXT control using bluetooth XD so i think this is possible =D (Future RC Racing)

  • It would be soooo cool if you could attatch a camera to the RC car and the video came up on the phone screen

  • they have things for planes that do that. they are called FPV(first person view) system. it is cool

  • that is like the unmanned crafts that they use to scout and for too dangerous of jobs??

  • Hello !

Great ! But, where to find the material implanted on the RC car?

  • no way

  • 4 kids:)

  • can you give me the software i have nokia n95 8gb

  • funny if some one rings and the car starts talking... LOL

  • Haha!

  • Not impossible ^_^ i think that is even easier than this...

  • amen breakbeat lol

  • incredible, I want one for Christmas!

  • It's like you're out with your RC car and then the phone rings. 'hello?'

    'Hi, where are you?'

'I WAS playing with my RC car with my phone but you rang and stuffed it up.'

  • i hope this phone can control people..lol..

  • cool!!!!!

  • I have come up with a really easy design for a bluetooth servo controller by combining 3 off-the-shelf components: A Mini SSC II Serial Servo Controller, an EB-501 or EB-505 bluetooth serial port, and a "battery doubler" circuit to allow them both to run off the car's 5V power supply. However, isntead of using the phone away from the car (which I think is kind of gimmicky), I actually mount the phone ON the car, and then control it with a joystick via a live video feed over the internet.

  • Wi fi + accelerometer....= Rc car

  • So make it !

  • i didnt ...but my friend did...its kinda slow in responding the commands but runs great

  • My TQ system is better....

  • did u use any software

  • The mobile phone uses a custom written Python script that does the graphical visualization and transforms the movements into steering commands for the car.

On the car, we have replaced the wireless receiver unit with our own Bluetooth module and a small microcontroller (again with custom software), which translates the protocol into the standard way of communication from any toy car.

  • good job!

  • What is the custom software?

  • i hate thoses trucks used to have one broke in one minute.

  • The truck you see in the video is rather low quality and also not in the best condition anymore. However, the new truck is based on a metal frame and much more stable - no problems so far!

  • is it real or fake am confused!!!

  • its real ive tried it with my n82. my uncle has a bluetooth enabled rc car. you have to download shakerracer

  • Interesting to hear - was he able to buy the Bluetooth module for the RC car somewhere or did he build the module according to the instructions we have released?

  • i want one

  • awesome, but you need a mounted camera on the car :D

  • This... Is... Awesome!

I already have the phone and the r/c car, now I need to learn how to mod it, lol

  • i dindt buy a wii for a reason. This is the worst way to control something that isnt a steering wheel

  • It would be cooler to try it on a WiiMote. I would like to see the same thing done to that RC Truck but with the WiiMote :-)

    Cool video btw :-)

  • va anke sull'8gb??

  • some james bond shit!

  • wlan controller....

    just like wlan cctv...

  • I'm joking...it's impossible!

  • My phone can do this...I have k850i! I think only SE k850i and SE w910i can do this!!!

  • no, also nokia n82 and n95 (maybe others?) can do this. nice phone btw

  • w580i

  • it is not true! its imposibile!

  • i want one...

  • pretty cool!

  • u guys are idiots... its true... do sum research b4 making dumb ass posts

  • Learn to spell, you dickhead.

  • Fits yet!

  • OOOOO! I have that phone. I might try it with mine :D.

  • das müsst ich live sehen ;=)

  • it's not true you idiots lol =)))

  • You are very funny :c)) it's true :c))))))

  • that's kinda cool... but still, given the choice between controlling a toy scale rc with my phone or having a revo, gimme the revo.

  • lol, good point, but doing this to a real rc car isn't very far fetched. If you have a 2.4ghz system I'm sure you could figure it out, eventually! lol

  • This is the Wii??, ooo, noop, this is the Nokia N95!!!!!, Fuck!!! awesome!!!

  • ye thats possible but the programma exists and it works

  • cooooooooooooooollllllllll !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • where to get one?

you have a video from these? I do not have patience to read the long text throughout (link from the desc)

  • it is very fantastic

  • Or this think relly needs rpm sensor, because if, were must of better picture from your wep page from pdf document am not to make out of information, where were got or what kind of rpm sensor used (type).

I am apologising myself because of bed English, because me doesn´t go best(writing)

  • like playing Wii^^

    very nice...

  • how much is this i went to the site and if you add all the equiptments its 300 euro thats more than $400 and i dont even know if you need all that and its $500 for the phone

  • it's a fake simply because nokia n 95 has not the acceleretor.....only nokia n92 use accelerator!!...prrrrr

  • Check the datasheets of the phones and you will find out that it's the other way round.

  • imo its possible. motion sensors from the camera. signal via bluetooth. Possible fake: bluetooth RC car. LOL

  • its not fake, its not camera motion sensors its called an accelerometer and the N95 has one. You can use PythonS60 to get data from the accelerometer and send it to the bluetooth RC and control its movements, did you see the N95 light sabre program? That uses the accelerometer also and the bluetooth mouse program

  • this gotta be fake

  • It is real. In the meantime we have adapted better cars that have transmission etc., allowing much better control of the car. Read detailed information and building instructions at the site linked to in the video description for more information.

  • I dont see anything on that page link about that Bluetooth control to the rc car

rc cars uses crystals and a stéering radio control with crystal thats match ofcouse

So how do you get that Bluetooth working ??

  • At the bottom of the project page you can find the documentation download:

    symbianresources(com) -> projects -> shakerracer

We removed the original wireless receiver and replaced it with a custom made microcontroller that allows the Bluetooth communication between the mobile phone and the car.

  • is that real??? NO IT IS NOT

  • not you but, some body from nokia industrial make this fake, because some fool buy this phone for this shit!lol

but i give you 10+ for trying to make somethig funny!!!

  • is it cheap or expensive to do that?

  • Sharp intake of breath!! I cannot believe that you're supporting people that use a mobile phone while driving!

     This is criminal!!

  • compleatly pointless yet yet brilliant.NEED TRY IT OUT

  • oha diyorum başka bişey demiyorum :)

  • nose si creerlo , puede estar atras un hombre manejandolo y vos solo moves el celular :S

  • that is pretty neat, but i will stick to the classic controllers. it is like playing wii racing games!

  • and... whtat is name of this program?? or it`s a mechanism inside phone?? Can I driving my rc car on Sony ericsson K800i??

  • tht particular phone has motion sensors and is easy to prgrm aps for, this program utilises the sensors and blutooth to send controle signals to the car. if the k8ooi has blutooth and u have enough time to write a program it would accept its techniacll pos to do sommit similar

  • i think it`s fake. nokia n95 hasn`t got a gyroskop:D. At bluetooth its impossible.

  • well it has accelerometer. check videos of nokmote. i have it on my n95 and it works great.

  • i never see that... it`s good ideo to drividg real car :P

  • hey ihr seit aus österreich?? coole sache ^^ echt genial gemacht 5 sterne für die tolle umsetzung

  • AhhhhCHUUUU!..im alergic to bulshit...

  • how is this remotely (forgive the pun) natural? It seems much hard than using a pistol grip...

  • Well, essentially it can be compared to using a steering wheel - which is a more natural way to control a car than by some side-positioned turning wheel and a pistol grip for speed. E.g. when you drive a curve in a racing game, you also bend your whole body, when you accelerate, you go back, etc. ShakerRacer can be seen as translating these natural movements to the car.

  • Well, disregarding my personal feelings on the "natural" way of driving it, its an amazing bit of technology, I just personally would prefer a pistol grip or multi-function aircraft style controller, but, like I said, thats just my opinion. It is an amazing piece of engineering, just not my cup of tea.

  • Well I am old school hated pistol grip controller and it is just a wank factor if you do, a real driver will always go old school and use the paddles (like rc flight but 2 channel) why because you have much more control with your thumbs using your left index finger for speed/brake is not natural.. your brain has much more natural control over your thumbs, it is that simple.

  • I beg to differ on that. But, seeing as you just a person who goes through old comments just to find something to argue about, your opinion makes no diffrence to me. I have much better reaction time with pistol grips than anything else.

  • a phone rc car make me one :P

  • lol some 1ns standing bye with a remote control

  • As you can see in the video as well as read in the additional information (and will shortly be able to see in the full documentation), we have modded the car so that it can be controlled via Bluetooth. In this form, the standard remote control can not connect to the car anymore - it can only be controlled by the phone.

  • wow

  • amazing

  • wow amazing

  • why not you hadikap ofcurse you can buy a nokia n95 whit touch screen

  • lol

  • thats bullshit cuz n95 is not touch screen

  • If you look closely, you will see that the just-for-fun "despairing James Bond"-scene at the beginning is filmed with a PDA and not the N95.

The main part of the video shows controlling the modded RC-car with the accelerometer and is not using a touch screen in any way.

  • hade len

  • Nokia N95 is the most feature rich mobile in the world.

the only thing is missing in this phone is the TV Tuner :)

many thanks to Nokia for this amazing phone.

  • how tell us plz ... i have n95

  • Attach a video call capable phone to the car and you've got remote controlled, video enabled monster truck ;)

  • you can do that with the intendo wii controoler

  • how

  • thers some videos on youtube actualy just put in wii rc

  • Standard Bluetooth has a reach of about 10 meters. The microprocessor is developed in a way so that it stops when the car gets out of reach of the phone.

  • This is amazing!

  • hyvä pojat :)

  • cool

  • is this real or hav u gt sum 1 behind u controlin it

  • This is real indeed! :)

The source code will be released shortly.

  • Great Job !

  • Too cool!!!!!

You guys could bring such a model to the market.

  • WOW smart job like PS3...

  • hy greetings aus den USA
