  • Don't want to sound rude, but, you guys should just consider that there are more quality wargames out there that are not GW and because of that they do not require a fu**ng thousand dollars to jump in.

  • I'm extremely new to 40k, havent played a game yet, but ive started an ork army, however the GW prices for Lotr have gone to £14 for 12 on some, but it used to be 20 for 24 :S

  • ahahahahah epic!

  • Great video, looks like you've put quite some time in it. I think Finecast is their biggest mistake, this not only affects the gamers, but also the painters. Think about the future of their Golden Demon contests for example...

  • prices will never drop. first you need to fix the economy for that to happen and on that one good luck. think of your own game system you have been tinkering with are you actually going to cut your profits and go out of business just to drop your prices for consumers of your products. no you wouldnt so why expect GW to do the same

  • the problem with releasing all at once is not so much about making money as it would take far more time and then the main rulebook would cost far more than the mere 60 or 70 it currently retails for. so would you rather pay about 200 for one book or 70 plus 40 for two books

  • As long as people buy there product at there high prices this is what we will have. Look at black library a GW company they have books in the Horus heresy novels that are 30-40-50$ a book just to get it earlier a regular Horus heresy book is like 9$. There are people with so much money instead of sense. Then GW says look at these retards buying our product at 6 times what its worth. If you want GW to change do not buy anything from GW. I can buy a 40$ Horus book just not that stupid.

  • i still like playing templars because we still use old rules like drop pods and smoke launchers; but i would still like access to more stuff from the new sm armory

  • @TheCustomTemplar our smoke launchers are now the same, check the faq :(

  • It's not so much the imbalance of the older books vs the newer books, it's the imbalance of things like tyranids and necrons vs imperial guard and blood angels.

  • The per-model cost of GW stuff isn't that far off say something like privateer press. The new battle engines are more expensive then most GW kits for example. The overall cost is less because you need fewer models, but to say GW models are more expensive, just isn't accurate. If you think GW is expensive, look up some FoW stuff...

  • While I feel that there may have been a few more references from the late eighties that might have added something, this is a really good video.

  • And go for Infinity, Warmahordes or pretty much anything else :P. I really like the fluff and races of 40k but is pretty terrible the game system and is a real ripoff -.-

  • @DraskyVanderhoff a ripoff of starcraft? yes i agree.

  • @wargamepainting You do know that starcraft came after warhammer 40K, so it would be the other way round if there is any ripoff

  • @wargamepainting You don't honestly think that, do you?

Starcraft is the ripoff, not 40k.

40k is 25 years old, Starcraft is only 13...

  • @wargamepainting

Starcraft was originally a game-demo for warhammer, but directors at that time didnt liked how the game was produced, thus it got recicled and ended as Starcraft

  • @wargamepainting other way around
