it really depends on what you can do. if you are an artist, help create awareness through your art. if not, talking to your friends about the issue is sometimes enough. read the newspapers and watch the news, while at the same time be critical about what comes out in the media. read a lot. blog about it. write letters. get involved in ngo's. participate in activities organized by groups with this kind of advocacy. we should do whatever we can, however little it may seem, to help this cause.
thank you so much for helping us in this campaign by sending the videos. perhaps it may seem inadequate. but see, the little things we do sometimes amount to so much more. the various groups who have been campaigning have attracted so much attention already that the supreme court got into action and implemented the writ of amparo. already, it has saved two lives.
yes, this still seems small compared to all the killings that have already taken place. but we continue to fight not because we know tomorrow we will get results. we only hope that one day, the generations that will come after us will not have to experience this.
people have learned from the martial law era. now we are learning that the enemy is not just marcos. the enemy is far greater, and it will take years to beat the enemy. if it takes a hundred years, it only makes sense to start now, right? :)
sumikip ang dibdib ko while watching this video. i can't help but cry. T-T
