  • Marcie should have asked something along the lines of "What's wrong with "Sir?"

  • Because joe

  • Ys her voice soud more boyish here?

  • @JVcrow44 Early on some of her voice actors were guys.

  • I love this when she keeps calling Peppermint Patty Sir, Peppermint Patty acts like one of the boys, maybe that's why this girl keeps on calling her "Sir"

  • lol wait...you mean shes.... a GIRL??!!

  • "Sir, let's just make out already!" LOL !!

  • They're not lesbians people!

  • @avivapinatafan Of course not, I knew some people might jump to conclusions

  • @avivapinatafan: Well, Marcie's co-dependant on Peppermint Patty & despite their mutual feelings for Chuck, they're inseperable, so for all we know, they could be bi (this is especially true of Marcie, since she's based on lesbian tennis player & Sparky's friend, Billie Jean King). But really, they're kids! Their feelings aren't set in stone & besides, Sparky himself felt that if everything worked out, the strip--and by extension, the cartoons--wouldn't be funny anymore.

  • *vv*

  • Peppermint Patty has got to be a switch hitter. And that Marcie broad is really messed up. She puts eggs in a waffle iron

  • I had the biggest crush on Peppermint Patty as a kid... XD

  • I'd love to have a copy of this version of Vince Guaraldi's "African Sleigh Ride".

  • Sounds like she said man =w=

  • Wait. Marcie first called her "Sir" due to being the then-counselor at the camp, and it's respectful to call the head "Sir" in an army.

  • Plus Patty has been voiced by different male actors

  • @solesirching73 The voice actor or actress has nothing to do with it. Besides, some of her voice artists were female.

  • cuz you're so butch, ma'am

  • I think Marcie calls Patty "Sir" because she behaves like a boy and she has boyish features, like a big nose... well, she wasn't the first to call her "Sir".

  • @KBAFourthtime

There's a comic strip in the middle 60s where Patty is a tent monitor and Marcie (who looks younger) calls her "Sir".

  • @Aquel29 If it was in the middle '60s, I don't think that was Marcie, but a girl named Clara who just happens to be a look-alike. The real Marcie debuted on July 20, 1971.

  • "No, ma'am."

  • This sounds almost like the end of the storyline Marcie first appeared and so did Mr. "Shut-Up-and-Leave-Me-Alone".
