@avivapinatafan: Well, Marcie's co-dependant on Peppermint Patty & despite their mutual feelings for Chuck, they're inseperable, so for all we know, they could be bi (this is especially true of Marcie, since she's based on lesbian tennis player & Sparky's friend, Billie Jean King). But really, they're kids! Their feelings aren't set in stone & besides, Sparky himself felt that if everything worked out, the strip--and by extension, the cartoons--wouldn't be funny anymore.
