Wow, I love Lena Horne. What a fabulous voice. Smooth as silk yet powerful such that you know she is singing with every single fiber of her being. Great post.
I had the honor to hear this song sung by Ms. Horne for 2 years working with her on The Lady and Her Music Broadway Show...it was amazing that she did 2 hours and we did about 25 minutes of singing and dancing in this show. There are singers now that could take some lessons from her in articulation and flow with there singing. She was a true DIVA and I will always thank God that I was given the chance to dance and sing along side of this great legend. Thank you Ms. Horne and Auntie..ChinaDoll
Hey, I’m a young artist, & I would really appreciate it if everyone would check out my cover of Michael Bublé’s “You’re Nobody till Somebody Loves You.” Although I’m knowledgeable that Michael Bublé was not the first to record the song, my version was inspired by his rendition, nonetheless. I promise you that you will not regret giving my version of the song a listen, & it will truly knock you off of your feet! So please listen & enjoy! Thanks!
Looked all over everywhere, and have concluded this is the BEST rendition of "Stormy Weather" I have ever heard, which is fitting considering it was given by the woman who ORIGINATED the song way back when. And just to think, this woman used to doubt her vocal abilities... no way....... R.I.P. Lena!!

@ImYourVj She worked at the Cotton Club at the age of 16, "hidden from the truant officer," in 1934. Her beauty and poise as a singer at that age is legendary. Love to you, too....
I watched a PBS special about her, oh my gosh a class act. When she did this perormance, she said this is the way she always wanted to perform it, with soul. RIP Queen/Diva
