  • FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU-

When there's a time limit, even the sweetest, atmospheric, and relatively quiet games can make you rage.

Stuck at the high area after sewers. I rage quit and am now playing BF3 - a laggy game with balancing issues - in order to calm down.

  • @1x0randomdude0x1 Sounds exactly like me. I usually like going for trophies but I dont know what it is about ICO. Screw it. New game.

  • As mentioned directly below, don't drag Yorda to the 2nd set of vertical stones. Drag her half way between 1st and 2nd, against wall. Then when you press button, nip through the door a little to grab her and drag back in quick.

  • yay now finally past trough the sewers with the time at the stone pilar of 29:41 i think i could manage it still with the 1 muntue and a few seconds slower at the Wooter time. Great vids btw helped me very trogh this!!!

  • arrrrrghhh.... i hate so much the sewers... the one try yorda stays on the place exactly where she have to stand... but after a while a f..... shadow noticed her just before i could be trough the gate to grab her... the other try she is in the sewers but goes with me trough the 2nd gate... but i can't just fight these shadows already have a very slow time ( 23:43 )

  • IIf u have problems in the sewers leave yorda on the lifted platform in the entrance.i did it in co-op and i'ts complete safe. I suppose you can do it in 1 player if u shout at her, or change to 2 player and climb on your own.

  • I have a different issue with Sewers than most. I can get Yorda in the sewers consistantly. Problem is, when I race out to climb the pipe, the stupid cunt runs OUT before the gate closes! GRRR..

  • They should get rid of stupid trophies like this, its ridiculous.

  • Graveyard is the hardest part of the game

  • @CaptainHero922 lol it worked soo nice for me^^ got a better time than the videoposter in graveyard part, but sewers sucks >.< had to kill these shadows before getting yorda behind the gate...

  • Yorda's retarded AI made the sewer part take longer than if i had killed all the enemies. I got her into the sewer and then got on top and called for her and she got stuck by a rock and wouldn't come -__-. And then i had to go down and move her under the hole but every time i moved she moved and almost messed it up by walking out the other gate.

  • sfasdasdas

I FUCKING HATE that stupid graveyard :C

You make it look like it'sso easy

  • at stone pillar i'm at 30 min... too late ?

  • Pausing the game is fine-Place Yorda where she is thoughout video. If Yorda was in just the slightest of different spots my results would be negative. There r exceptions tho. You'll learn as you play through. Mostly Yordas local is important when shadow monsters and/or switches r involved-Luck is needed sometimes, always perfect an area b4 moving onto next do practice runs if needed-You should have a no less then 33 min availible at ur last save point-Watermill area is toughest cause of jumps

  • At graveyard how were you swinging on that long chain?

  • @RgMount85 Hold O

  • thumbs up if you think the graveyard is the most annoying part of the game

  • Can anyone speculate as to what the problem is here; I saved at the crane at 10:16, then continued as portrayed in this video with only slight if any differences at all. I didn't save at main gate as the graveyard save point is close by and there are no risks of dying/mistakes to be made. Now i'm saved at the graveyard by 18:07! Where has the time disappeared to?! I'm adamant that i have followed EXACTLY the route given. Logically, I should have MADE time by not saving at main gate. WTF!

  • I don't understand, I've saved at the graveyard by 15:48, managed to get past it exactly how it's done in the video (even slightly faster on some points), and then I save at the windmill by... 24:12.

Where the f*** did that 2 minutes went??

  • at 3:50 let them take her away while you get the box in place, then go grab her and leave, that way you don't have to fight anything, that should shave off a few more seconds, I just did that and then in the next room Yorda failed to grab my hand on the ledge, ffffuuuuuuuuuu

  • thanks man for the video it was very useful and for those who have problem with the sewer part I try this part several times and find the best part for this location to put Yorda is under the edge where the chain you have to climb the shadows will not notes here and they will go after you.

beside I not recommended to save at every save point I made graveyard my first save point @15:10 and then windmill @21:40 then east arena @31:50 and waterfall before piston jamb and waterfall wheel @48:10

  • If you try to drive those shadows into a corner or against a wall you can keep hitting them without them to drop backwards and therefore faster to defeat.

  • I don't get it on the graveyard, when placing the first block, Yorda is constantly being captured by those shadows, not unlike you did.

  • Tip @ 1.09... let Yorda go after you get back through the gate. Since you got to blow up that door anyway just keep her calling while you're at it and she'll get to you, which will go faster than dragging her around.

  • For everyone having trouble at the sewer part: drop Yorda off at the first vertical line of blocks, instead of the second (as in the video). I found this to be much more consistent. You might need to run out to bring Yorda into the sewers with you, but you'll have just enough time.

  • @Jenesis666 absolutely true ;) Those shadows really annoy the freaking daylight out of me ^x^.

  • @Jenesis666

    Wow dude, it worked... thanks

  • @Jenesis666 You're awesome. FINALLY managed to get her to behave after leaving her at the first row instead. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the tip. It worked on the first try after trying the way in the video 100 times.

  • @Jenesis666 Best comment ever!

  • It feels very wrong to say you're lucky, but at 7:00, you do have quite a but of luck. My Yorda wasn't fast enough to grab my hand, and once the shadows have caught her, you have to fight them. However, great walkthrough, truly helpful.

  • Your walkthrough involves too much luck!!

  • I got lucky in the "Graveyard" Part, so lucky that the shadows didn't grabbed Yorda At All, my current times is: 21:41 at the Windmill Save !!!

  • Thanks for posting the timestamps! They are *extremely* useful. You forgot to post the Windmill timestamp in the description though (22:30). I'm also glad I'm not the only one having trouble with the sewers. Got to Stone Pillar in 26:57 though! ;-)

  • @wtfunbubba thanks for pointing that out! I added it to the description. Glad you found the video useful!

  • @wo0ter I'm at 24:53 at the windmill... do you think I'll get it in under 2 hours?

  • @wo0ter I dont know how or why but everytime i do the graveyard part i always have to fight all of the shadows. I can never leaver her in the sensor like you do and go in, climb the ladder and chain and make it back without her being taken. That adds like 3-4 minutes to my time, any advice???

  • FINALLY got past the gravetayd. it helped to run to the top of the stairs while calling for her after u place the first block. I have a windmill time of 24:33, a couple min behind the video. cannot seem to find the right spot to leave her in the sewers tho. might end up just fighting for 3-4 minutes :(

  • I've been placing her in the spot you leave her in at the beginning of the sewers, and every time I do that, the shadows grab her before I drop down the sewer hole.

    Am I missing something? >_<

  • @AsukaPMS hmm it seems like many people are having trouble with this area. I did it several times over and was able to make it without the shadows taking her, don't know why.. If need be, just fight them. I made it to the end with about 15 minutes remaining, so a minute or two here won't be detrimental.

  • @wo0ter its pretty easy to do that, just like in the video, let her stand on the stairs (when she get down, the shadows will spawn) after that, run towards her and when almost reached her, shout and grab her. than u run with her to the platform and run straight through the door. its simple if u follow the vid. !shadows wont grab her, if ur like "half of the way from the indoor stairs" ^^!

  • Arrrrgh! What a goddamn headache. Every time I open the sewer gate they take her before I can even get her in there. It almost seems like it would be worth it to take out the shadow demons.

  • Thanks. I will keep trying.

  • Keeping her in place isn't the problem as much as her being grabbed after Ico enters the building. It can be cumbersome to work the scene like the video but it can be done. My big issue is the shadows grabbing after climbing the chain in the sewers. wo0ter makes the sewer part look easy.

  • @Boney00 I know what you mean. I did that part several times over. Try to leave her in that same exact spot I left her in the video, that seemed to help delay the shadows!

  • Awesome videos. I am having real problems keeping Yorda in place in the graveyard, she starts to follow me, thus standing off of the pressure pad. Is it lots of trial and error to get that right? Also, how come she doesn't get sucked away whilst you are getting the block?

  • The Graveyard part was a NIGHTMARE, I'm glad I got passed that.

  • This "Graveyard" part has got to be the most frustrating.

Quick tip: prioritize placing that second block in. Let them take Yorda up to the steps once while you place the block to open the door. Pull Yorda out and let them take her back down. Since the door will be open when they take her back down, you just have to grab and run your butts through the door.

BTW - great job with these video guides. =D

  • Great video but any advice for the area after the windmill? Yorda gets taken away before I can open the weight activated metal gate.

  • @JudyMaryAndYuki Put her in the spot I leave her in before going up the chain, then open the gate ASAP and get her in there

  • @wo0ter Thanks for a quick reply. I've been trying but it really seems like it's luck based more than anything. :/

  • I figured out what my problem was! If I continued when I died, that time would be added to my time... should have drank a V8 ha ha. So yeah, people, if you die don't continue like I did. ha ha quit and start from save, RETURN TO TITLE SCREEN XD

  • Whats your final time? Because I'm at 31:08 at the stone piller

  • Excellent, I love the part where it says 1337. Eilte!

  • @SirDragonKing haha yeah, that was the first thing I noticed too =)

  • @wo0ter

Lol. Oh yeah, and cheers for the vids. The 2 hour completion is pretty unreasonable for a trophy. You'd think the developers would WANT to let everybody know that their game isn't very long or something!

I'm at the Graveyard room currently where you have to leave Yorda on the pressure block to go into the next room, up the chain and drop the box to rest on the other pressure block. Problem is, the shadow creatures keep getting her. It's gonna be down to luck, isn't it...

  • @SirDragonKing yeah, you need to do that part as fast as you possibly can. When she walks to a certain part past the stairs, it triggers the shadows to spawn. You need to get her on the switch as fast as possible and try to get the box on there. Don't fret too much though, I had plenty of time in the end, so adding an extra minute here won't be devastating

  • ugh I hate when she thinks 3 times before reaching for your hand or when jumping.

  • damn, they still came out and took her. annoying asses.
