  • @soapqueentv What was the color used at 0:11? (Both the blue and pink in that scene) It's lovely <3

  • intersting videos, welcome

  • Do this in a plastic bag with clear soap and a gold fish!!

  • this type of soup can use? or just for decorations?

  • Does the apron says she loves herself? :/

  • @Raphaelus13 hh ha, I guess it does! :)

  • @soapqueentv Yes, all of the soap I make in my videos can, and should, be used! They are beautiful and functional.

  • Is the hamster rubber a gomu

  • @SDgamer22 No it isn't a Gomu brand eraser - but those would work too. You can embed any little toy, But I like erasers because they don't scratch when you get down to them in the soap. ~ Anne-Marie

  • I love those erasers!

  • Is 30 second blast just 30 seconds? Do we have to put a settings that is low or high?

  • @LoveDog388 My microwave is on always on high. So I just do short 30 second bursts and check and mix the soap frequently.

  • Where can i buy skin safe glitter?

  • I was reading the comments and I was just wondering... What is hp soap?

  • @kaitlynvv hp stands for Hot Process soapmaking. It's similar to Cold Process soapmaking but you cook the soap and it's read to use within 24 hours.

    Great question!

    Anne-Marie

  • @soapqueentv That sounds really neat, could you maybe make a video on Hot Process soapmaking?

  • Who would put razor blades in soap seriously let's be mature here

  • @tamiabarrett There are some cool and edgy soapmakers out there. And really - you can put almost anythign in soap and people have!

  • lol cuz i would TOTALLy put a razor blade in my soap xD

  • i love penguin one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @martyndavidson Real fruit tends to go moldy and yucky in soap. So I don't really recommend it. I talk more about how to use natural additives in Episode 2.

  • You can buy those erasers at michaels craft store! And why would the other glitter not be skin safe? Just wondering.

  • @ulietjay Regular craft glitter can scratch your skin or be made using colors or metal that aren't skin safe and could cause an allergic reaction.

  • hahahaha oh dear I would hope no one would think to put razor blades in their soap!!!!

  • can kids do this ????

  • Long live the queen!! haha..

  • Razor blades? Oh dear. :-O

  • This blue with glitters is just wonderful!!!!

  • poor penelope...

trapped in that bar of soap

  • the little penguin is adorable!!!!!

  • Now you are smiling and you're more expressive when you speak: much better than before; you rightly looked like a robot!

  • i really like that one with the penguin

    !!!

  • Yes, Penelope is my favorite too!

We sell a bunch of different erasers over on Bramble Berry. Including hamsters and cupcakes. :)

    Thanks for watching!

    Anne-Marie

  • Is there a way to tell which fragrances from on the Bramble Berry site are super clear and won't yellow?

  • OMG I love that little penguin! lol ^.^ This is a great series especially for me because I was thinking about purchasing some M&P bases and play around a bit to see if I like it, SO glad I happend upon your vidz! I'm already writing down a shopping list of things to get on your site.

    P.S. I want that penguin!! :D

  • The penguin is actually a "Japanese eraser" and can be found (along with a bunch of other super cute Japanese erasers) from several sites online - Google "Japanese eraser" to find sites and price shop. :-D

  • I'm confused how did you m ake the soapy embedded objects?

  • all they were that she used to embed were leftover soap from other projects. and cut them up.

  • snorie797 is correct. But if you don't have a bunch of scraps laying around like me you can make your own! Just be sure to use non-bleeding colors and you can cut them up or use cookie cutters for variety - whatever you like.

    Good Luck and Happy Soaping!

  • Hi Hilary,

I think to avoid air bubbles you should try partially filling your mold with melted M&P soap then set your well spritzed curls in the soap and finally top it off with more melted soap. Depending on the depth of your mold you may want to do more than 2 layers. As long as you spritz well between pours you shouldn't see a line at the different fill levels.

Let me know how it turns out!

    Anne-Marie

  • I love your videos. I have been soap-crafting for a few years now and really enjoy it. I am learning some great ideas and tips from your channel :) I have a request for a video. I always have trouble with air bubbles in my large soap curls. Could you show me how to prevent that? I always spray them generously with alcohol but I always end up having air tapped inside the large curl.

    Thanks,

    Hilary

  • Love your instructional videos. Very informative!

I noticed on Bramble Berry that you sell a water soluble paper that can be embedded. Can you provide specific directions for how to embed that paper in m&p clear soap?

  • We actually have a video on that very project coming up in a couple of weeks! It's full of tips and tricks too numerous to list here.

    I hope the wait isn't unbearable. :)

    Anne-Marie

  • Thanks! That's awesome! I have a soap order with that as a request so I hope that a couple of weeks means episode 9 ;-)

Any quick tips to get me started?

  • Here are my tips for using Water Soluble Paper.

    1. Use an inkjet - with pigment ink if possible.

    2. Allow the paper to 'cure' for a few days before using.

    3. Set the printing with aerosol hairspray.

The embedding episode will air next Thursday.

    Happy Soaping!

    Anne-Marie

  • Thanks so much! The video was very helpful!

  • doesn't sugar add more lather? I know that it does with CP and HP soap.

And I certainly hope no one tries to embed a razor blade!

  • Hi Pixie,

Some people think that sugar adds more lather - but I have found that Castor oil adds more lather in my soap batches. But this only applies to CP (or HP) soap not to melt & pour. Additives like that don't really work in M&P since the saponification process has already happened. Instead look for a base that is made to produce extra lather like Bramble Berry's shaving soap M&P base.

  • Thanks everyone, I'm so glad you're enjoying these videos!

iagrl - for M&P soap it's best to find a base that really lathers well since most additions don't really work in my experience. You might try Bramble Berry's shaving soap base. If you're making CP soap from scratch Castor Oil is great for extra lather.

  • I can't wait for your next videos. I'm looking forward to learning more. Can you tell me how to make soaps that produce better lather?

  • Thank you for this latest video. You make it look so easy and explain it to where even I can do it, maybe.

  • Great video once again Anne-Marie!! keep them coming!

    Alex

  • penguin was cute... I didnt know you could use erasers. Thanks :) Loved the blooper.
