of course anyone is free to believe what they want. but if their beliefs come from cultish (I was raised mormon, I know all too well...), secretive organizations, then yeah, people are going to find that to be contrary to an open, free thinking democracy's top choice.
the liberal media? are you joking? it is mostly the GOP and the religious right that's making such a big deal about this.
it's not bigotry. it's politics plain and simple. if any other candidate was a member of a secret club with special underwear, then that would indeed be brought to the table. at this point, Mitt's the only one in that boat.
Founder Joseph Smith Jr. was a fraud:In "State of New York vs Joseph Smith," March 20, 1826, Smith was pronounced an imposter after pretending to possess clairvoyant powers to find treasure buried in Pennsylvania. In exchange for money, he sold his clairvoyant services to a treasure hunter and was subsequently unable to provide the promised service. After refusing to return the fee, he was hauled into court, declared "a disorderly person and an imposter" and ordered to pay court costs.
Do better research and you will discover that the Joseph Smith haters spread lies and rumors about him. Just because a case exists by no means makes it legitimate. You are too quick to judge the Prophet Joseph by men's standards, moreso, men and people who hated and despised him.
Only the best for the White House and the Romneys would make a fabulous First Family. I can't imagine the Clintons taking over the WH again...no way! They would turn it into another Motel 6 in no time, with all their Hollywood friends and cons staying there and parties and shenanigans going on. Enough already!!!
