CVS/Pharmacy has 80% sales from the pharmacy, 20% from the front store.
The company is imperialistically taking over smaller chains to create a mega-corporation of wal-mart proportions.
The company just blindly sells drugs, without transparency to it's investors, customers, or employees for that matter. If they sell a drug that kills one of their customers ,the drug company is liable, not them.
Most of these drugs are unnecessary.
Healthy Americans would be a detriment to their 80% sales.
To set the record straight, the "talking heads" happen to be elected officials from the city and state of New York who are concerned that CVS/Caremark is engaging in illegal and unethical behavior. .... God forbid people actually try to protect consumers and the public's health!
are you the law..."This consortium of labor unions began a campaign to disparage our company in 2007 after we refused to waive our employees' right to vote confidentially in union elections," CVS spokeswoman Carolyn Castel said.
"Change to Win is attempting to tarnish CVS Caremark's reputation, with the goal of organizing our employees. They have a long history of using these tactics to coerce companies into waiving their employees' rights to vote in a confidential union election."
Have you actually watched, listened to or read any of this stuff at all, or are you just an empty-headed, anti-union broken record ? You just don't get it... There is absolutley no evidence that this is about union elections, and yet there is overwhelming evidence of corporate malfeasance and the disregard for consumer protection and public health laws.
CVS is tarnishing its own reputation with its despicable practices. Maybe they should clean up thier act.
Under current law, as soon as more than 50 percent of the workers in an appropriate bargaining (work) unit sign a union authorization card, the employer can choose to recognize the union as the In those relatively rare instances in which an employer has agreed to card check, the employer has often been under pressure, which includes threats of a negative "public relations campaign intended solely to injure a company's reputation" until it capitulates to this recognition demand.
