you should try 3 sticks man, and it would work just as well with yellow/green as with blue/green

I actually could not tell what "awesome technique" you were doing, to be honest (seemed to work well enough, though). Maybe hitting the hat and snare (blue/green) at the same time with the same stick?? I'd be interested to know, because I could use the help on this song.
