First off, Bass Pro Shops and Bluegreen are 2 different companies! A Bass Pro Shops employee will never direct you to Bluegreen for a vacation. Bluegreen employees wear a name tag that sometime has a small BPS logo on it, but that is it. Bass Pro employees wear green shirts that say BPS, and name tags that say BPS and which dept. they work for. Second, as a former BPS employee I have heard the sales pitch more times than can count, and not once have I heard anything miss-leading.
@bwirth1999 it sounds to me like they didn't pay attention to what they were doing. Also, I know people who have time shares with BG as well as a few other major timeshare companies, and guess what... ? They are happy with what they purchased. Are you telling me that these people are dumb enough to think that they will purchase a full timeshare for less than $50,000?? Not going to happen.... Most people have to build upto the timeshare rentals, unless they have more money than brains..
I've started a Facebook page in the hopes of starting a class action lawsuit like the one in Pennsylvania. Were you lied to at your sales pitch? Join the movement to get a class action lawsuit going. search Bluegreen Class Action Law Suit
2 yrs ago we went to Florida for a vacation. We went to a presentation and were talked into buying a timeshare. Listening to their sales pitch is very tempting to get into their contract. But my instinct kicked in and I thought that this is too good to be true and vacationing every year seems to be impractical for me. I know deals like these have a lot of hidden charges and almost always at the end you will loose money. So I firmly said no Im not interested.
@joab302016 a year later we went to a vacation again, but my wife unknowingly booked in the same company offering the same time share. And there we go again with the high pressure presentation to get you into a Timeshare. With my first encounter with them and after I read all internet complain about Timeshare, the easier for me to decline their offer.
YALL ARE SO WHINEY, CLOWNS!!! UMMM I BOUGHT IT THEY MADE ME DO IT, I COULD CANCEL, UR SOOO GOOFY!!! READ BEFORE YOU SIGN!! LETS MAKE THIS CLEAR URRR A FOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!
@shocker1207 ....NO they are not fools...I am a former (successful) Bluegreen salesman and these people speak the truth and it happened all the time, even for people who speak and comprehend English well we too can be conned and scammed with all the double talk...
No need to lash out at me...I didn't sell you the points! If it was "valueless" why was a purchase made? Bottom line is you gotta know what you're buying and make sure what you sign is what you thought. I've been to several "updates", and they definitely paint a rosy and simplistic picture of your options, but all have been "possible" if not likely. Use them to help pay your maint fee's. I take the $100 every time I stay and it pays half my fees.
@Dumpr A purchase was made to escape the hardsell with the complete intention of canceling within the rescission period. We're glad you get your $100. It doesn't change the fact that this company is guilty of fraud.
Bluegreen is what it is. They are required to record your contract signing where you acknowledge the details of the contract. If they truly mislead you, subpoena that recording and prove it. Some folks don't listen or make them explain things 'till you understand. If you were tired/hungry and kids were acting up...just LEAVE! They can't force you to stay, or force anyone to sign a contract! Sorry for your unhappiness! Try using the points...the program works great if you learn to use it!
@Dumpr OK Dumpin' man, come and get your free Bluegreen points, 8000 of them--we'll arrange the transfer! There is ONE truth in the above, a rather senseless tautology in our thinking,"Bluegreen is what it is." Yes, it is a corporation that uses deceptive and fraudulent methods to sell its valueless product--and that is criminal, end of story. You like the program so damn much, get the points from Bill & Arijana--our treat!
My family owns with bluegreen and westgate. When we purchased we understood exactly what we were buying Everything you are upset about is fully disclosed during your closing with someone who is not in sales to protect you. You didn't get scammed!!!! You have 10 days right of recission. Your contract states it in bold letters. Bluegreen is probably the best company to own with because of all the options allowed with your points. Why not use it and take your kids on incredible vacations,
@heritage2josh The contract person apparently didn't speak Dutch. And what the contract signer said contradicted everything the salesperson promised. That is the scam. "You signed it," is the typical timeshare defence of deceptive practices. If you're like your timeshare that's fine-but it doesn't change the FACT that fraudulent methods are rampant in the industry and that timeshares are worthless. Ask yourself this, why do you need to be protected from a salesperson, as you say?
Did you guys get out or sell the timeshare? I have two and hate them both. I wish i could sell mine.

The other funny thing is Bluegreen doesn't offer timeshares to people who live out of country, as you require a SSID and a proof of residence.
