You'd have to be sinless to keep the whole law under the Old Covenant but I guess you won't read this till Saturday night, since Sabbath starts tonight Frid. for 24hrs. You have his free daily Grace. You cannot be cursed for not paying money. Galatians 3:13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by taking the curse for us on the cross. Did I ever say don't give. My church does not teach that you must tithe. They teach grace giving, look it up some Churches teach to give under Grace not pay for a blessing.

Bible clearly states that the tenth of all your increase belongs to the Lord. When the Israelites were in the wilderness they gave what they had "livestock''. What do we have now? Paper money and bills. Church houses have bills and when you help the church of God you're helping the gospel to be preached. This is why The Lord set up tithes and offerings. @Kingmastershake In Heb 7:1-5 Paul is speaking OF the Levite priesthood in PAST TENSE. He is not currently speaking about them or about tithing. That whole thing is comparing them and Melchizedec to Jesus. If the Levites were getting tithes for the gospel then who were keeping the tabernacle of God? @Kingmastershake Tithes was fruits and animals because that were the increase of many of the isrealites in those days. Do we have sheep and fruits to give today? The Lord said that 10% of all your increase is HIS... If all we get is because of the Lord allowing it to be so then how can we not give Him back the 10% that we owe???? I do not support Creflo but I do support biblical truth. They fed the levites the same way Jesus wants us to feed the church by tithing.

@Kingmastershake I've read heb 7:1-16. I see Paul comparing Mechizidec to Jesus rather than him saying we don't have to pay tithes anymore. Show me exactly where it states that paying tithes is no long necessary cause I do not see it in there. In 2th 3:8 they worked for no food as an example because people were being tithed to and sat around and did nothing. That's why it said if you did nothing you did not eat. None of these verses states that tithing has been stopped.

The story of the rich young ruler, this is part of the chapter. It is good to read Luke chapter 18 in context though.

For almost five years, I was caught up in a church that worshiped Cashflow. I thank God that He opened my eyes. I feel terrible that my husband and I subjected our young daughter to that. Someone should present a basket of produce and/or an animal for an offering at Cashflow's church. I wonder if he/she would be shown the door!
I was a former youth pastor and just finished watching all 18 pts of your series. I too share your belief and it eventually cost me my position. I felt led to give 40% of my salary. This wasn't a tithe but an offering I had already decided in my heart to give. Biblically this was what I could teach, no set limits, only the heart. This didn't satisfy leadership. They distanced themselves from me although the rate of new converts blew up. They fired me for not being a good fit. Keep Standing!

To the person that emailed me. Just like tithing, the Sabbath rest was one Leviticus law out of 613.Google 613 Old Covenant commandments. You'd have to be sinless to keep the whole law under the Old Covenant but I guess you won't read this till Saturday night, since Sabbath starts tonight Frid. for 24hrs. Bible clearly states that the tenth of all your increase belongs to the Lord. When the Israelites were in the wilderness they gave what they had "livestock''. What do we have now? That whole thing is comparing them and Melchizedec to Jesus. If the Levites were getting tithes for the gospel then who were keeping the tabernacle of God? Show me exactly where it states that paying tithes is no long necessary cause I do not see it in there. In 2th 3:8 they worked for no food as an example because people were being tithed to and sat around and did nothing. That's why it said if you did nothing you did not eat. None of these verses states that tithing has been stopped.

The story of the rich young ruler, this is part of the chapter. It is good to read Luke chapter 18 in context though.

@choeunhye Funny when I educated myself I realized that tithing was for the people in the book of Malachi(which is Old Testament)...keep your money, put down the bible and get yourself a proper education. If you say you have degrees already than you surly paid for your education and skipped critical thinking class.

For almost five years, I was caught up in a church that worshiped Cashflow. I thank God that He opened my eyes. I feel terrible that my husband and I subjected our young daughter to that. Someone should present a basket of produce and/or an animal for an offering at Cashflow's church. I wonder if he/she would be shown the door!

I was a former youth pastor and just finished watching all 18 pts of your series. I too share your belief and it eventually cost me my position. I felt led to give 40% of my salary. This wasn't a tithe but an offering I had already decided in my heart to give. Biblically this was what I could teach, no set limits, only the heart. This didn't satisfy leadership. They distanced themselves from me although the rate of new converts blew up. They fired me for not being a good fit. Keep Standing!

If this were true, then Jesus wouldn't have had anything against the pharisees. They would be the first ones in the line to get into heaven.
But they are not... church wake up and stop listening to preachers on tv and even local preachers who teach this crap. Discernment is for the church. How is the world supposed to discern this garbage if the church can't? God help us all.
