I'm always amazed at the variations of stoves out there, all designed to heat water &-or cook our food. This looks like an ingenius little device and a fun little stove. I've been facinated by bushbuddy type stove for a while because you only load them once, usually, but they're too big for my backpack, so I'm trying to come up with a smaller version. Still, I can't seem to get away from how well my deviled ham, alcohol stove works. They're just hard to beat. Thanks for the fine demo and laughs.
nice idea but what if the battery runs out? windup would be best like someone has said below i think. do the hot ashes fall on the plastic computer fan? and i would like longer leads for the battery as they tend to explode when hot. nice concept but think i would go with the mini rocket stove.
Hey! nice little stove. I was really impressed with the boil time. Where could one find one of these for purchase? Do you have any pricing information?
Some stoves like the vital stove or sierra zip stove can run off a magneto (crank) charging system. So long as there is something to collect the charge better than the ones found in led flashlights and some radios.
The double hammocks stove could work on a magneto. Not as fast though.
I would be concerned about the need for batteries, BUT, I found a crank up flashlight with 3 LED's. it has an output jack, but don't know if it could handle the power needed for the fan motor. Now if someone could come up with a crank up power source for this stove it would be a big plus.
I love this design! I may have to play with this idea in my shop! The humor got me going as well! With the flint and steel try pulling the flint back and holding the knife in one postion. Great Video.

Nice idea, but the burn chamber is way too shallow.

what did the kid say? i played the video three times and Im still having trouble understanding what he said... he has a funny accent or something...
anyways, how much of an improvement do you see by using a fan like that? in terms of boil time, or temperature of the fire, or length of burn time?
