How the hell would I know? But if you like the Yamaha sound better, then go for that! Of course you should testplay them both, but since they're keyboards I'd say the voice/sound is the more important thing!
Eeeh... I need to know what a r550/R800 is. Tried to google it but found nothing.
But the CTK 630 is every amateur's dream. Great sound, easy to use. not too many functions that will make one confused and has 100 different sounds and rhythms.
The only problem is that this model is old. Got my CTK 630 when I was 6 or 7 years old. That's 12 years ago. But if you find a CTK 630 that works I'd say it is a good buy. Specially if you search for a cheap keyboard.
Why does people believe I've used MIDI to create this?
I've used no Midi for making this song. All is Audio-signals direct through the computer's soundcard-input.
About getting Midi into your 720: Unless it has it's own harddrive and soundcard you won't be able to get midi-files into your keyboard. There is, however, possible to buy an external harddrive and soundcard for the keyboard.
I'd suggest asking more about this matter in your local music-shop.
Well I use a normal audio cable which I insert into the AUDIO OUTPUT on the keyboard. Then on the cable's other end, I'll need to attach a minimizer so it may be possible to insert it to the microphone input directly to the sound card.
Hey what do you think the Casio CTK2000 61 Key Full-Size Keyboard? I wanna use it to produce...im broke and I can get one cheap but im not sure if i can use it as a midi controller any idea/s?
I haven't tried the New CTK-2000. Saw it in a store for the first time last week. But I think it will be a very good Midi-controller. Myself I don't use midi. But the CTK-2000 is fully Midi-compatible and should be excellent for Midi-controlling.
And as satisfied I've been with my old CTK-630, which I got 12 years ago, I'm pretty sure you'd be satisfied with the new CTK-2000.
Oh! I forgot! At the time when I recorded this, I didn't do like I just told ya. At this time I had my HEAD SET's microphone placed above the keyboards speakers. So i simply recorded through that microphone and then filtered away extra noises in Audacity. If you listen carefully you hear the taps from my fingers hitting the keyboard. =)

As the U.S. Trademark holder of the band name "BluesTrain", I ask you to remove this video and stop using our name.
I have already had several other Trademark violators videos removed. YouTube has our Trademark paperwork on file.

Yes! I would! If only this would be a BAND NAME, which it isn't: It's the song-name. The "Band name", or in this case ARTIST-name is "WISTBACKA".
So I'm sorry! Won't happen. I could rephrase the title a bit, though...

Uh, right. It's pretty obvious you didn't use MIDI to do this, your timing is very off in numerous places.
Still, I'm glad there's a video of this thing so I can hear what it sounds like.

How did you get audacity to recognize your keyboard? Mine will only record through the computer mic and that sounds tiny...? any ideas?

OMG! YOU ARE FAST!!! Thanks for the votes. Just tell me what do you mean with "with a fusion of Piano and Drums"?
Wistbacka 3 years ago
I do not really like the blues, especially with a fusion of Piano and Drums. It was nicely put together, 4 stars
