i am sorry for what you have lost.sometimes people dont know what they have until it is too late.i know how important dogs are in a persons life,i was diagnosed with severe depression and my dog (chow long hair gsd mix) helped me the whole way through it all.dogs are such an important part in life.i lost my dog to heartworm.i didnt know he had it he showed no sign of it unill it was to late.he passed in his sleep on a warm summer night after a long walk with just me i kissed and taht was it.

Nice tribute to your your dog. See, The Creator made one mistake: he designed Man and gave him 76 year of life. Then, he created His best friend and gave him only 10 years of life. I just lost my GSD to cancer 3 weeks ago. She was 11. There was never a single dull day during those 11 years. Only joy. She is being missed very much...

rok9, Beautiful dog. I had two GSDs die within a day of each other a few years ago. One I had owned from a pup, the other was my working partner who had retired a couple of years before.

I got myself another two years ago.

Tears instantly fell for me!! My big boy just got diagnosed with moderate arthritis and it scares me to think his health may deteriorate because of it. I can't bear the thought of my life without him. There is no other to replace him ever. You could see the love in his eyes!

thanks... i was just thinking about him yesterday again... I lost him over 3 years ago, but the memories are so strong.. many think I take this too far.. but i can't help it.. my relationship with Ben was very strong, he was there for me, literally, through the hardest times.

As I look at my shepherd man I realize and affirm that you can never take the love you have for these big boys too far. There is no limit to the love they give you, and there should be no limit in return. Good luck with the healing, I know it takes a long time.
