Erastophanes of Greece calcualated the circumference of the earth hundreds of years before the Bible. The Greeks formulated the atomic theory before the Bible as well. The Bible is a collection of different books by different authors. Some books suggest the earth is round while others that it's flat. Cherry picking particular verses in an effort to show that the Bible contained knoweldge that couldn't be known at the time is dishonest but typical.

I've read the Bible through at least 8 times over the years and have yet to find such a passage. What I have found, however is that this book (25% prophetic), written over a period of 1600 years in 3 languages on 3 continents by over 40 authors in times of war, peace, prosperity and famine has predicted the course of human events with scrupulous exactitude. The best is yet to come.

There are far more interesting facts in the summerian texts, which go way back further than the bible. People still seem to think the bible is some kind of first book. It was a loose collection of texts chosen from many more.Much of the bible was bastardisations of earlier textx and traditions. You want to research real ancient truths....look to summeria :)
