Is it me or was Qui-Gon Jinn the WEAKEST JEDI MASTER EVER!? He took forever to detect Anakin, cold not spot the evil Palpatine while close to him, could NOT defeat Darth Maul with the AID of Obi-Wan Kenobi on a two-on-one battle; then on a one-on-one battle got KILLED by Darth Maul (keep in mind that Maul was just Palpatine's apprentice). And Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon's apprentice, finally finishes Darth Maul off!!! WTF??? Yoda and Mace Windu are/were so much more powerful than Qui-Gon!!! I wonder why!?

So, I noticed there was a debate about who was a better fighter between Dooku, Ani, and Obi-Wan. I think it's all irrelevant with Palpatine in the room. He controlled everything that was happening in that big confrontation. To think otherwise is naive. He was the greatest single user of the force...ever. Nobody could have ever beaten the Emperor one on one. Mace came close, but I wonder how much Palp allowed that to happen to turn Ani to the dark side.

@ProdigiousSingleton Dooku is a rogue Jedi. He was raised and trained as a Jedi, so even though he's technically a Sith apprentice, it's still natural for him to think of his powers as a Jedi. About the force lighthing, I think Obi-Wan and Mace have different forms of sabers and fighting skills. Also Palp's force lightning would be a lot more powerful than Dooku's which might cause a different reaction.

1. Because Mace Windu is basically Shaft with Force Powers, and thus inherently more badass than just about anybody else in these movies.

After studying jedi for a long time, i finally know why Sidious wanted Dooku dead. Darth Tyranus/Count Dooku was Sidious's/Palpatine's apprentice. A Sith Master can only have an apprentice one at a time. Sidious's first one was Maul, but he died. So he took on Dooku, but after seeing that Anakin was stronger than dooku and beat him, Sidious didn't want Dooku anymore, so told Anakin to kill him, so that he could train Anakin to become a sith like him

He told Count Dooku that the Clone Wars are just a pretext and that his true ambition is to rule the Republic as an Emporer. So Palpatine deceived Dooku and all of the Separatist leaders and used them, when they're usefulness and he didn't had need for them, he simply killed them - betraying Dooku, ordering Ankain to wipe out the Separatist Council.

Jedi were like monks. actually like Shaolin (monks and trained in fighting but as a means of spirtiual discipline and self defence...not for aggression and starting fights) ,and they were peacekeepers. They were in some ways like the Knights Templer who were monk knights. Anakin never had the mentality to be a Jedi. His mentality was that of a novelty seeking warrior who wanted adventure. Remember..in Episode 3 , they were battle , He said "this is where the fun begins"

Episode I, II and III would have been more fun had Anakin actually been a wise, calm, peaceful, friendly man. It would have made his downfall even more tragic. But the way Lucas wrote it, it was clear from the very beginning that Anakin would join the Dark Side, because he was a spoiled brat from the very start.

Anakin broke those rules by falling in love with Padme and marrying her which drew him closer to the darkside. Of course, his revenge extreme killing the Tusken Raiders for his mother's death was what drew him very close to the darkside.

Count dooku pretty much got screwed over by the supreme chancellor. It is obvious that Dooku could have killed anakin but lets him cut off his hands because the chancellor wants to turn anakin to the dark side. For example dooku has such superior power with the force that he is able to knock out obi wan. He doesn't even need the light saber.

From the time Dooku attained complete mastery of Form II: Makashi there has only been one person to outspar and defeat him in a duel and thats Grand Master Yoda. The only time Mace Windu and the Count dueled, Dooku beat him. So those Mace fans out there IF Dooku and Mace were to have dueled again then sure maybe you'll get your wish and Mace would win but as it stands they never fought after Mace's defeat.
