  • SVBUMMIN/MR01COBRASVT Dudes calm down and chill with the infighting. Save that for Government Motors and ricers. We all know that the Cobra is the flagship car for Ford and it usually gets all the go-fast parts.. But you have to realize there have been advances in DOHC as well as live axle tech and the Mach was the beneficiary.. It does have SOME higher quality parts in form and function. As a Mach owner, I have tremendous respect for the Cobra line. but nothing will ever replace my Mach.

If anything number are over rated..when do you ever see cars underrated. ya don't. As for the junk n/a cobras...all I can say is come on down to mustang week and I'll be happy to help you pull your head out of your ass, while watching you fade away in my rear view mirror.

  • @swannyvill well KID i can show U the advertising material ford make up with the 325hp rating if U want. & all cobras R overrated. machs baseline at 280-290 ( ive seen as high as 295) depending on dyno & correction factors U get about 16% parasitic loss which runs around 330. & the means 2 put it 2 the ground unlike your shitty ass weak IRS. like i told the other misinformed dipshit above unless your running F/I your getting smoked. ive had my mach since 04 - its built & fucking bulletproof

  • You can say all ya want about flow which is so small of a difference your not going to see it. Point being the numbers posted at the beginning of the video the machs would not match up. I own a cobra as well. Big deal, Deffently never resulting in me losing. The differences you speak of are so minuscule.

  • I call bullshit on the mods!!!! I have the same an 01 Cobra full exhaust 3'', JLT Cold Air, SCT custom Tune, New Coil Packs, Throttle Body. And I have never beaten a Mach 1 by any less than a couple car lengths. Something isn't floating here. And the Mach 1 engine is disagree. It didn't flow any better. They are the same motor with slight intake variations. And at the start the RWHP numbers give the Cobra the upper hand. Difference in passangers? Amount of fuel in cars? 8 pounds a gallon fuel!

If the mods were true that cobra should of destroyed the mach. The hp difference is just to big and at a roll. Some of ya'll need an education in cars.

  • @swannyvill yourself included... There are a few differences between the 01cobras and the Mach 1s engine wise. The compression ratios are different and the intake manifolds are different. The Mach1 Intake manifolds breath better than the 01s which were 'fixed' intake manifolds from the same batch that underperformed in the 99 cobras. The Mach 1s heads are also slightly better flowing than the 01cobra heads. There are endless Cam debates which i wont argue on youtube. BTW i own a Mach 1.

In fact 98 Cobra had the B heads, 99-04 Cobras all had the C head!!!!! And only 99's were recalled not 01's!!!!! The HP issues were fixed before the launch of the 01's... I have an 01 Cobra and I will smoke you... Fuck you for disrespecting the Cobra!!! The mach is a better all around car haha..

  • @MR01cobrasvt C heads were revised in 03 & 05. mach has the same C heads as termi, aviator, marauder, & Australian Boss which R revised & better than the C heads on the N/A cobras which have the most inferior cooling passages of all, thats why ford modified them twice. machs have higher comp. hotter cams, better intake manifold, heads, gears, suspension, axle setup. U wont stand a chance against my mach unless your F/I, your just a faggy cobra fanboy that cant except the fact mach 1's R better

  • @svbummin And recognize that the N/A Cobra fine in particular has the Teksid block!! Made by the company that is the sole supplier of aluminum blocks for Ferrari!!! The block itself is capable of supporting 1,000 HP.. Your block would explode with anything north of 700.. If the Mach was so wonderful... It would still be in production.. So guy buy yourself some window louvers and go cruising with the other AARP members Mach 1 Fan Boy.. Or go try a curvy mountain road with your Axle!!

SVT colaberated with shelby on a 687 unit run in 07. & an overpriced SVT optional package in 2011 other than that cobras R make off shelby designed tooling in flat rock. cobra badges have been on shelbys long before SVT. & i have no problem with N/A cobras, its a great car 4 the money. its dipshit fanboys like U that give the rest a bad name. & if your going to compair ferrari IRS 2 the heavy weak hunk of shit on your car your dumber than your comments make U sound

  • Yeah, the only difference engine wise in the 03-04 cobra and the 03-04 cobra was the supercharger. And if both of those cars were stock the mach 1 would rape that cobras ass.

  • @dillona22 stock for stock it's actually a drivers race...with the mach having a slight advantage because of the 3.55s stock over the 3.27s in the cobra and the cobra has irs which is heavier and is harder to launch than the solid axel on the mach...both cares are awesome...i'd go with the mach if I were choosing I've seen them get mean with a lil bit of nothing. if you're talking about the difference between 03-04 mach and 03-04 cobra the termi has forged internals stock AND a supecharger

  • mach and cobra have same motor jus 10-1 on the mach and the wight is dif

  • Mach and Cobra have different heads and cams Mach does have 10-1 though.

    Machs are a little lighter usually stock for stock a Mach will pull the Cobra.

  • i heard the mach has 03-04 cobra heads but i know the cams are diff this winter im porting the heads upper and lower intake cams long tubes and some more juice maybe go with 150 shot!

  • @braddfordy Wrong! Mach 1 uses same heads and cams as 03-04 cobra, not 99-01 cobra. 99-01 cobra heads arent as good as the updated heads in the 03-04 cobra. Also 99-01 cobra cams are better for mid to high rpm, Mach 1 cams are better for low to mid range rpm, thats why a mach 1 will always have more tq.

  • @sny714 wrong they all use the tumble c port heads. the 99 heads can hold their own when it comes to air flow. the main issue was cooling which is why the where revised twice. the 01 cobra makes the same tq as a mach1 but the mach has a better curve

  • Damn... Havent watched this in a while... The red Mach is mine, & the mod list posted was a bit off for my car. At the time, I did NOT have full MM suspension. The car had MM front coilovers, subframes, panhard bar, cc plates, & LCA's. Some of that stuff actually added weight to the car. My car does now have the K member & rear coilovers as well, but not at the time of the races...

  • Mach 1 due to gearing. The Mach 1 shifts at roughly the same points as my GT. But the Cobra seems to go on forever. A geared Cobra is something to be messed with though.

  • dont know personally but from extensive research the IRS on the cobra adds weight and the ram air give the mach an edge along with the 3.55 gearing... the strange thing is the mach 1 has the same engine and is only rated by ford at 305hp and the cobra is 320. lets just put it this way for drag racing-- i want a mach 1

  • Mach 1 is a better car for drag but the price difference can also make the difference on the Cobra. If you put the same gears or 3:73's on the Cobra, you will see the race go either way. The only advantage I see really is the Mach not having IRS. Both are great car's but if it were up to me I would rather pay a bit more and get the 03/04 Cobra.

  • 99-01 cobras use a similar motor to the mach1. the compression is diff. cobra has 9.85:1 and mach 10:1 the cam specs are diff. but cobra has 3.27 gears while mach1 has 3.55

  • mine put down 287 stock. and with all my bolt ons with tune its at 331 rwhp and 318tq

  • Actually I have seen a few 01 cobra put down over 300 to wheels stock. My 99 put down 312 with minor bolt ons. Check my videos.
