  • All bullshit comment. This is Grandeur, this Great Mucisian, Adored by the Gods, Lenny Bernstein

  • stalin would have loved this version

  • Personally, this performance is too fast. It takes away from the heaviness of the last segment of this movement. Brilliant performance nonetheless.

  • @TheKevinV08 i agree. too fast

  • I think it changes the meaning of the music, but there's nothing wrong with that at all. Shostakovich's score is rich and elastic enough to accommodate this absolutely thrilling performance. The thing is, Bernstein is a musical Midas -- he turns everything to gold, even if you don't agree with him, you can't deny its worth.

  • It's interesting to hear the differences between this version and his more mature version with the New York Philharmonic.

  • Simply remarkable!!! Pure Genius.

  • wow! it's me, or this interpretation is too fast? (compared with MTT version)

  • Some take it wayy slow, I actually prefer this and maybe even just a little slower.

  • This guy was a very good at this

  • very fine.
