This opening has come so close to making me cry. I've never cried over watching anything but this is just magical. I was 9-10 when I first played the shit out of this. The only other game that makes me feel the same is Majora's Mask/'s opening.

If I had to say anything about it though, I'd say that no other game was quite capable of indulging us into such magic, fantastic, epic, charismatic and sincerely heart-felt world, all so true and convincing to the heart and soul. There is a very rare link between gameplay, music and visuals in this game.
It's this complex, deep and ever moving spiritual link which ties us all together. Too bad no one will ever be able to make justice of such complex array of feelings. No word can make it justice. No sentence can communicate well enough how we feel, and that's all. It's terrible not being able to communicate to others such unique state of mind, heart and soul.

I could listen to this all day long. Bring to me good feelings. Sometimes is hard to understand that Ocarina of Time is just a game, when it really shows you and entire world of adventure. If you don't like this, im sorry but you are not human. Im not gonna call it a game. This masterpiece is so good in many aspects, history, song, i can't describe all. All I can say is that I all of that.
Zelda is part of my childhood. I can't ever forget this game. Endless hours at the water-temple or just riding with Epona through Hyrule Fields. So many great memories. The graphic in OoT 3DS may be way much better but I don't think it will be as good as this one.
nintendo should make a movie of this great game , maybe with three parts , begging with Link as a child and then Link as an adult , and also the movie with this name Zelda ocarina of time , Nintendo pls make it real lol

@OmnomTheDevourer Nah OoT is the best. I've played them all, and replayed them all. Nostalgia aside, people who think LttP is better are really purely going of nostalgia. Great game, don't get me wrong, but it has nowhere near the atmosphere of OoT. MM is a close second, but everything about that game, graphics, monsters, almost all of it was based off OoT just set in a different part of the world.
Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask were the two games that really emphasized replay value and storyline in gaming.
Gaming companies need to look back on these two examples and realize that it's not about better graphics, but to reflect on stories that can change one's view point on life.

i just download an n64 emulater and downloaded ocarenia of time for it <3 if you want the emulater go to emulater zone and download one then go to coolrom and get ocarenia of time <3 this game <3!!!!!
I remember after this they would show the cutscene, where the witch twins recapture nabooru, seeing that without the subtext tripped me out, but still great ass game I remember thinking with my overactive childhood imagination whether link would get married to saria or malon, I wanted saria just because of the childhood friend angle and I thought they would have a moment after you rescued her, but no dice, very depressing for a kid
This is just pure emotion. My childhood is flashing forward before my eyes. Why can't I live in the 90's again and play this game with the pure mind of a child? It is true that your childhood is the best time of your life. Everything was just...alright. But as soon as you realize that, you've already grown up and have to deal with this completely messed-up world. It's so bittersweet now seeing this opening, I could cry (in fact, I almost did).
When I in preschool my older brother was so into games. My favorite was Banjo Kazooie. I found a game called "Zelda" and I couldn't even get passed the deku tree. I didnt even know how to open a door. Well, in 3rd grade after years I played the shit out of this game. Looked up so many walkthroughs on my dads computer, and tips and tricks. I remember the joy of me finally being able to be old link. I was so sad when I beat this game and all the memories came back. I never wanted it to end.
its definetly either from the Zelda Collectors Edition disc or the Master Quest disc for Gamecube, i own both (and the N64 version) and they hold pride of place on my gaming shelf. just seeing this and hearing the music sends shivers down my spine, and reminds me of plugging this into my n64 for the first time and being blown away.

oh man this makes me so happy and sad at the same time. Happy because it was my 1st n64 game that I bought with my own money I picked it up on random and I just had the best time ever thoguh I quit at the shadown temple. However it makes me sad because I have no idea where video games are going now.

This game is like my zen meditation. Every thing about it is overwhelmingly relaxing and brings me back to a more comforting time period in my life. I wish games were still simple like this.

There was something about N64 that used to excite me endlessly. Don't get me wrong.. I love the new systems but there was nothing like N64 and Playstation 1...
If there's a game I'm forcing my future children to play, it's definitely going to be this game. EVERY child should play it.

I remember after this they would show the cutscene, where the witch twins recapture nabooru, seeing that without the subtext tripped me out, but still great ass game I remember thinking with my overactive childhood imagination whether link would get married to saria or malon, I wanted saria just because of the childhood friend angle and I thought they would have a moment after you rescued her, but no dice, very depressing for a kid

This is just pure emotion. My childhood is flashing forward before my eyes. Why can't I live in the 90's again and play this game with the pure mind of a child? It is true that your childhood is the best time of your life. Everything was just...alright. But as soon as you realize that, you've already grown up and have to deal with this completely messed-up world. It's so bittersweet now seeing this opening, I could cry (in fact, I almost did).

When I in preschool my older brother was so into games. My favorite was Banjo Kazooie. I found a game called "Zelda" and I couldn't even get passed the deku tree. I didnt even know how to open a door. Well, in 3rd grade after years I played the shit out of this game. Looked up so many walkthroughs on my dads computer, and tips and tricks. I remember the joy of me finally being able to be old link. I was so sad when I beat this game and all the memories came back. I never wanted it to end.

its definetly either from the Zelda Collectors Edition disc or the Master Quest disc for Gamecube, i own both (and the N64 version) and they hold pride of place on my gaming shelf. just seeing this and hearing the music sends shivers down my spine, and reminds me of plugging this into my n64 for the first time and being blown away.
