Hahaha, the Sharks couldn't even beat the Pens right before their coach was fired and their Org was all in turmoil. Imagine what the Pens will do to them once they got their Org back together and head into the playoffs, except that the won't ever See the Sharks in the Playoffs as the Sharks will NEVER beat Detroit as they'll get crushed in the Conference Finals if the Sharks manage to squeek by in the playoffs through luck.

So much for the President's CUP, the Sharks can't even win at Home in the Playoffs and have carried their losing ways into the Playoffs. At least the Sharks can fill that President's Cup with Band Wagon Fan Kool Aid and all you guys can drink from it. If the Sharks don't get swept in 4 games they'll be out in 6 just like History tells us from their past. NO they didn't I think you're referring to what they talked about after the Sharks lost Game 2 to instill hope it's not over yet. They won the 1st 2 Games in EVERY Series last year, in fact they swept the Avalanche in the 2nd round, and took a 3-0 lead against the Stars who beat the Sharks, before taking a 2-0 lead against the Penguins before winning the CUP in 6 games. You're thinking of 2002 where they lost 2 against the lowly Canucks, completely different teams and they are NOT the Ducks.

Everyone should know by now it doesnt matter how many wins you have in a season. Its how hot you are going into the playoffs. If your going in with 5 loses your down going in high with 10 of your last 13 as wins your on a high just making the final spot(s). Teams who coast into the playoffs clinching a spot mid march usually start off shaky in the post season. Low mental game. Thats the Sharks problem.

Good game, although I don't think the Pens should be too satisfied with a SHOOTOUT win.

Shootouts can't win you a cup in the playoffs. But I am impressed with Fleury this game though. Sharks were houndin' him but he kept it up. Good on his part.

Also, Boyle and Pavelski are the best shootout guys for the Sharks and Seto hasn't done well in that regard. Jumbo and Patty I'm not sure about though (And I don't count the all-star game).

All in all, good game. Keep it up Pens. (Sharks fan btw)

Not too satisfied? They had like 36 shots against the team that leads the league in fewest shots allowed and took them through 65 minutes and only allowed one goal. I;ll take it, especially with the way Pens played in Dec-Jan.

exactly. penguins biggest blunder from last year was giving up all they did for hossa and not getting him back this season. let go way too much now they'll have to do it all over again. not easy to do and not a lot to give up. but you cant have the best player in the NHL on a line with dupuis and kennedy and expect him to lead the league in points with the talent thats out there. atleast malkin has sykora, ovechkin has backstrom and semin.. Crosby needs something..

with gonchar returning Goligoski and satan could be good trade bate, cause if you want skill you gotta give up some.. i'd say go after gaborik looking long term but he's too much of a bandaid at the same time. Brad boyes on st. louis 40 goal scorer. Hejduk would love to see them get kovalchuk cause he's got nobody but him and crosby have bad blood and prolly too pricy. Brad boyes would be perfect but obviously all these are shots in the dark. just looking at the standings for potentials.

Yeah it's hard to speculate what could happen but I do think with Gonchar coming back a move with some of our defense seems likely.
