A great film reminding me of Yentle, both the struggle for women of freedom, financial & intellectual, in a male-dominant society then. An impressive quote by Gabriel :' All you have is money; your friends will all leave you once you lose it". Final scene with Coc oat the staircase with applaude from everyone at the show. She created a beautiful world leading to modern industry of haute couture. Freedom earned from perseverance. Her life is the most beautiful being. Role model for Paris Hilton

I fell in love with Alessandro Nivola (Arthur Capel) in this movie. He was sexy, charming, debonair. I didn't recognise him from all those movies he's acted in.

I've been SO disappointed with all the movies being shown here in Australia currently, that it was such a relief to watch this film on a pleasant Saturday afternoon.

I know nothing about fashion, but I got serious goosebumps at the scene where the women walked down the spiral stairs, modeling her designs.

This movie proves that what is going on in the fashion industry at this time is wrong and should be changed.

Coco wanted to make woman beautiful and elegant as they were and not how men wanted them to be.

Right now, this ideal that Coco had, is being ruined by Karl Lagerfelt who just wants to sell clothing and does not care anymore about who wears it and what they look like.

I hope that when Lagerfelt leaves Chanel, a woman will take over who can take back this principle of wearable elegance.

Yes, that is the Chanel head quarters. IF you are interested in more of the place the is a documentary .. you can find in on here called Signe Chanel 2006 I think or 2005 tracking the making of a Haute Couture collection. It's across the road from the Ritz where Chanel had a permanent apartment although she spent most of her time in the Atelier's apartment. I want to find an English subtitle one to watch.

The movie is french, there have been many american movies on Chanel. I have done much written work on Chanel and I think Audrey T is perfect for the part, she has the look of Coco. I love Keira, but for this role, she would not have been right.
