this movie was dumb as bricks. The special effects were not that good. Their crappiness was disguised by quantity. Tons and tons of crappy special effects layered over tons and tons of other crappy special effects. Unfortunately, Emmerich successfully tricked many people into thinking the effects were good, simply because their eyes were too busy with the amount there were.

This movie totally rocks! Those who hadn't watch it should immediately grab a ticket now! Lol. Cinema atmosphere is essential. So I wouldn't recommend people to buy the DVD and watch it at home. (Unless you have a mini-cinema in your bungalow or something) =P

Loll. Well, it was when Adrian Helmsley spoke to his father on the phone. That was how his father knew that he would die in a matter of hours and would not get to see his son ever again. The way they talked while having tears stucked within their eyes spoke volumes. I was so darn touched. Hahaa.

Things I learned from the movie 2012: 1.) Yellowstone Nt'l park is only a few hours drive from downtown Los Angeles 2.) when you take off from santa monica airport, you are actually about a mile underneath freeway overpasses 3.) Amanda Peet is a total hottie.

Fantastic movie, awesome graphics. One to shake you up a bit. If anyone has read about the Mayans & their predictions, this movie is a mild version of what is "meant" to really happen in 2012. Believer or not...everyone has the right to their opinion. I'm not a sceptic but open to theories.......could this be true? Anything is possible. How many earthquakes, tsunami's, hurricane's has our precious world experienced in the last couple of years? Cross ourfingers it DOESN'T get worse!!
