Nada contra a estas músicas que estão por ai ao nosso redor, mas não tem como comparar com estas monumentais interpretações de astros, estrelas e mitos da música pop. E "Dame" Shirley Bassey se enquadra perfeitamente, assim também como: Nancy Sinatra, Areta Franklin, Barbara Streisand, Gladys Knigth, Whitnet Houston, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Ross. Wrong, Rosannasfriend...Hudson won many awards for Dreamgirls and Grammys for best R&B female vocal last year. Also Simon has been wrong a LOT..he is obsessed with LOOKS, we all know that ..ie. Leona Lewis, Il Divo ?? Ugh , 4 good looking dudes " sing " opera ..Lewis is good but not all That ...If Bassey wouldn't sing every song like its a Bond Theme then maybe I could stomach her...she has a voice but just detroys the songs she covers...You CAN'T improve Hey Jude & Something by the Beatles !

Jennifer Hudson hasn't had that much of a successful music career though. Winning an Oscar for a movie where she happened to sing proves nothing. She has a great voice, but seems to not know the right genre for her huge, gospel voice and use to look awkward and uncomfortable singing those pop songs(and still sometimes does). Simon has NOT really been proven wrong yet. Shirley has had a long successful career, so you're comparison is useless. Btw, I've never gotten the impression he was DSB fan.
