I have had this camera since December 2009. There was a Firmware update released that totally fixes the battery issue. The issue was with the battery indicator. The update has worked VERY well for me! I LOVE this camera!!!!
There are rechargeable battery issues with this camera... be aware of this problem.... many owners are returning this camera because of this reason.. otherwise a good camera with regular non rechargeable batteries..
@clownpo09 ... Many do have this issue including myself.... there appeared to be a problem with my unit that was exchanged. now it works fine with the non rechargable energizer batteries... it works with rechargable energizer.. but the output is not optimal as regular batteries.

I have sanyo eneloops and they work perfectly. I recommend them if you have a Pentax k-x.
