@midnitesquirldog GM never stroked any engines, other than the 302, you can get an aftermarked 401, but you might be thinking of the 396's that had bad castings so they bored them to a 402. idk never heard of a factory 401.

@Mr210stunna That nova was THAT suped up. My guess is a basic 350 with a cam and a good carb with bolt on's at best. May sound like a lot, but its nothing on cars like that. It only seemed so much faster than the cobra because of the hoosier's and converter. My 79 firebird with a stroked 327 block would make a stock pre-03 cobra look slow and would do about the same as this video to an 03-04 cobra, but im running 450whp on motor. This nova probably has about 300.

Obviously something built specifically for drag racing will take a appearingly stock car off the line. Plus the cobra 4.6 will have its max horspower at a higher rpm where the chevy stalled it up so he already was at a higher hp off the line .
