I like the commentary, too. Thank you for showng me some interesting fiddle tunes. have been playing fiddle for a couple of years and Im starting to get a grasp. the visual aspect of fiddle playing is so helpful.
Wonderful tune! i am a huge fan of your videos. I am learning the fiddle myself, and watching you play has inspired me. Can you tell me where I can find the notation for this tune?
I play by ear and do not read sheet music, so I can't really be of more help on this one. Sometimes the sheet music can be found online, but I was unable to turn any up for this tune.
First off, thanks so much for posting these videos! I kinda miss no introduction in the last two videos you posted though, they added something I can't quite place my finger on.
I just purchased a cheapy lil violin to learn ... your videos are gonna be analysed best I can to emulate you :}
Thanks for your comment. Several people have told me that they also like to hear a little bit about each tune first, so I'll try to go back to doing that on future videos. I am awaiting the arrival of a new (used) web camera that I just bought on eBay and hopefully better quality will be possible.
Good luck with your learning. Your local library may be a great source for instructional videos on how to fiddle.
Nice playing, thanks.

Out of curiosity, did you get this version from Michael Doucet's DVD? It sounds very much like it. Good job!

I learned this tune by listening to several different fiddlers and fiddle recordings, Doucet among them.

May I make a request?
Tits Yeux Noirs
I know that it is overplayed but it does bring back memories of the old Iron Horse in Thibodaux.
I remember Les and The Swap Shop every morning on AM.
I also remember Mr. Bob Esteve and the poor mans parade in Thibodaux. Long time ago.
Thank you for the memories and the gift of heritage.
