  • MAN JUST TURDISH

  • off metropolitan av...basement warehouse..1998

  • @TommyChevyBugle Yes , I believe that where they went after Harlem.

  • now i know why this company went out of business... their sirens sucked

  • I need the wiring diagram too

  • That sounds like shit.

  • Yelp, F/Yelp, Hi-Lo and Air Horn tones sound great on this siren. They're really effective. The Wail is god awful - only thing bad about it.

  • Both Yelps mean get the hell out of the way or stop especially the F/Yelp

  • I love this siren.

  • around 0:47 sounds like you looking at a hot chic on the street.

  • @Hot80s chic? you mean chick? durrrrrr

  • 0:37 clear that intersection

  • how did you get your hands on the ONLY one ever made, shouldn't that be worth like a gazillion bucks?

  • dislike

  • hi, i'm desperately in need of a wiring diagram / schematics for this unit.. can any-one help?

  • i am looking for a wiring diagarm for this?

  • Best Siren Ever Made ; ) Had one in my Official NYC Car.

  • It's a shame, this is the perfect siren.

  • hello you don't know where I would be able to obtain a siren like this and how much would cost??

  • Damn the wail sounded so damn kinky

  • GENIAL !!!

  • SP made this model to try and compete with all of the companies that were making smaller, more feature packed siren units. Due to production costs and the loss of the nyc contact, this model never made it into production. The company actually went out of business shortly after this r&d unit was made.

The mark 7 mini that is featured in this video (serial#91-001) is the only one of it's kind. No other like it exists in the world. This was given to me by the former owner of the company.

  • @SP99 do you have the wiring diagram?

  • this one has a pretty decent airhorn, a little like a whelens

  • Sweet. I like it.

  • Nice!

  • I would love to hear a few uninterrupted cycles of the wail on this, it sounds very unique.

  • i want that where can i find it my friend

  • The siren sounds different, but better in real life

Type in NY Presbyterian Ambulance, thats the siren they use

  • @Gman027 presbyterian doesn't. read the description

  • ya but it sounds just like the one some of them use. Type in Presbyterian ambulance and see if you find a video of them using this siren

  • its a mark 10

  • That was pretty awesome. Liked it.

  • WHAT THE HELL

  • sounds like back to the future!!!

  • were did you get that police siren demo

  • i got a few of the NYPD mark 7 sirens, they were o.k. air horn was nice on these but some broke but were ez to fix,

  • If you ever want to part with any of them, please tell me ASAP!!!

    xD

  • Shut up.

  • Yo i am still laughing at the wail on that crap man! dude the cop would think im high cuz id be laughin so much!

  • lol sounds like a cartoon!

  • Holy shit that was fuckin annoying!!!!

  • hallo, where it may I find. thank you

  • The yelp and momentary yelp were ok, but what is up with the wail tone? It sounded like it just didn't know what to do with itself! Every time it cycled it seemed to reach a different note, and it REALLY liked hovering on those low notes.

I can see why NYPD ditched these units. If a cop turned on that wail tone to pull me over, I wouldnt be able to talk to the cop because I'd be laughing so hard! The term "clown car" comes to mind!

Great vid though, thanks for sharing something unique!

  • I like the sound of the horn, but other than that...meh....

  • IM GONNA SHOOT MYSELF!!!

  • WHAT SEEK HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like that siren it's small

  • Hearing this made me feel like a retard.

  • im sure its not the first time for you..

  • care to elaborate?

  • can it be anymore clear?

  • What they hell are you talking about?

  • never mind dude...

  • cool

  • where the hell did you get that?

  • the wail is actually the best I have ever heard on a SP siren. Along with everything else.

  • Absolutley not. The wail on the original Stat 7/Mark 7 was significantly more professional sounding than this sick dog. This wail was a disater that led to Scientific Prototype's demise.

  • ohhh, I guess you're right.

  • but the wail isn't as bad as some of the other newer ones... and the momentary yelp is phenominal.

  • They had several different yet similar yelps, but they were all phenominal.

  • Find the video with the SP remote head or the Yankee version and you'll hear the real Stat/SP wail.

  • done. I know what you mean now and you're right, I still like this yelp the best.

  • This is a SP siren made to NYPD-specs updated for the 1990 year Police Cars that ultimately saw very limited use in the NYPD because it sounded so bad. NYPD instead went with Federal PA300s for 1990 year Police Cars and then to the SmartSiren with the 1991 'new' Caprice. SP went out of business shortly thereafter, as the NYPD was their biggest account, and after completely re-tooling and using new digital components to meet these new NYPD-specs, no one would buy them because they sounded so bad.

  • I sure like the hyperyelp/phaser sounding tone, but the wail makes me nauseous. :)

  • Very Great

  • Not bad.. I just really dislike the wail. The air horn could be a little more aggresive!

  • that has to be one of the best momentary yelp functions I've heard on a scientific prototypes model.... and the wail isn't too awful.

  • hey remember when i had that video this was the siren :)

  • yeah, that was before I knew. sry about all that =P

  • its ok

  • the wail is terrible

  • it is very annoying no offence i like the new RUMBLER the best

  • rumbler is amazin

  • It mustve been hard getting this model considering there was only one made.

  • I got it from a guy that worked for scientific prototypes. Crazy as it sounds, It really was the only one ever made.

  • this aint no nypd siren. this is more like an ambulance shit. from england or some shit

  • Actually NYPD used it.. so it makes it an NYPD siren.

  • England? WTF?

  • NYC Ambulance!!!

  • I want this one, too!!!!

  • I kinda like that...

  • LOL

  • Now I'm hooked!

  • wow. hahahaha thats what they used to use before they got the Vision lightbars. learn your NYPD history

  • That's fucking wierd! It sounds wwierd

  • Back in the day they did use it dumbass

  • AWSOME! Thanks for posting this, can you make more please?

  • Let me know if you want to sell the siren. I will pay top dollar.

  • He wouldn't sell the siren if it was the only one made.

  • Supersingly sime of the private ambulance companys still have these sirens!

  • siren sounds cool, wish code 3 made the manual like that, but it only wails and wails.... not yelp yelp!

  • Did they used SP Mark 7 in the Caprice 9C1 95?

  • Most were upgraded w/the federal vision (smart siren) systems. very few cars had mark7's left in them by 1995.

  • i meant the sound, not the model or make. i dont know what they use, but the siren sounds the same..... are you familiar with NYPH EMS in nyc?

  • Yes I am familiar w/ New York Presbyterian. They have been using the mark7's for many years. They transplant them every time they get a new bus.

  • aright, so then u do know what im talkin about lol

  • I think I saw a New York Presbyterian Ambulance withe the Mark7

  • haha thats the siren that new york presbyterian hospital ems uses! wow, brings back memories of my paramedic rotations lol

  • they dont use this specific one, because if you read the caption there was only ONE Mark 7 Mini made, and thats the one in this video.

  • b719 is correct. However, the mini is very similar to the regular mark7. the mini tones are a just a little bit different. I believe the model 220a was scientific prototypes attempt to keep up w/the changing times, producing a smaller siren w/ a "phaser" or "hyperyelp" tone and electronic air horn that didn't sound like the original mark7's dying cow airhorn

  • They still had a few in service as of last year, Shmuly86. When they break, That's the end.
