  • Check 1:13 and the girl in the red dress standing behind Ricky Gervais and how she can't watch with a straight face any longer and turns away laughing!

  • great dave...

  • "I sorta fused Flash dance with MC Hammer shit" :)

  • HAHAHHA makez me laugh every time watched it in business studies at school 2dayz!! Ricky gervais=Ledgend!

  • OMG!!! I love this!!! this is hilarious!!! I crack up everytime I see this :)

  • funny argueing , uk office da best .:D

  • 0:42

  • surely people would have cheered if just for a laugh. yes, he thinks he's seriously good, but still, i would have cheered for a light mood...

  • 300? Only on a school night! what how much you get paid a week? Time to get a new job. Wouldnt get out my bed for that a day never mind sleep in a jungle. Talking of prostitutes with a wage like your's you couldn't afford to sleep with a girl like mine even if you paid for it.

  • I think both versions of this show is great

    but i love ricky gervais

so, i'd have to say the british one is slightly better.

  • Comment removed

  • let me sort it out gents.

ricky cumface, sorry Gervais(is thAt how you spell it?like I give a fuck!)is a London Wanker that is trying to be as abstract & as funny as Vic Reaves but fails by a long shot. The funniest thing is that all you americans still don't get his retarded atempt at being sarcastic & obscure. The man is not funny, end of

  • you actually put, 'end of' bahahahahahahahahahah you tit.

  • I miss the word argument off the end while you spell out an evil laugh & I'm the tit? Well done, you just made a cunt of yourself. Oh, you already done that with a name that mades you sound about 14

  • 529...um, your council flat number ?!? 'mades you sound about 14' ..... you mean makes!? yea, well done, you just made a cunt of yourself! TIT

  • Council flat number? What you know about me? Bet I spend more money on a night out than you earn in a week you wanker. Your name still makes you sound like a 14yr old cunt by the way pmcommando? That meant to make you sound like a big man?

  • yeah is spelt with an H by the way. If your going to call out typing errors it would help if you could at least spell four letter words. Did yo go to school? Cock.

  • OH MY GOD......You just keep on failing my friend, 'Did yo go to school?' Did who go to school now? Define ironic because you can't even spell a three letter word! Reasons for my name, PM are my initials and commando is what i am....Hope thats clear for you.

  • Again, typing error. In the army? So I was right, you never went to school & I do spend more on a night out than you earn in a week! Enjoy getting shot at loser!

  • Army, don't be silly. Royal Marine and a degree in egineering, pretty good at the age of 23! You have 9 years on me and you spend £300 plus on a night out?...........on prostitutes old man! Off to belize next week, jungle warefare training. Enjoy your shitty suburbia life with your fat ugly wife and 2 spoilt brat kids!

  • "no the american is better" "no the british one is"

    ...its a tv show...

  • You know what's sad? This would be so cheered on in the USA. He's brave! Haha! I think Brits are slightly uptight as a culture, but then I'm american and I'm biased that way. Lighten up follks. Plus who cares which version is better?

  • it would probably get cheered on in britain as well, people would be polite even if they thought he was making a bit of a tit of himself. a lot of the "uncomfortable reactions" of the staff to brent in the office's second season were unrealistically mean-spirited

  • europe superior

  • the american version sucks.

american humor is too dry for a show like this.

the us version doesn't come close

  • american humour is not dry, british humour is dry and subtle, i agree the american version is not as good, but you are wrong ot say american humour is dry

  • well not all american humour is dry, but i think in england a lot more raunchy things are allowed on television compared to america, who has more of a wholesome comedy thing going on.

  • To all the muppets that think the US version is better, there would be no US version if it wasn't for the UK ORIGINAL! British humour far better, not so forced.

  • Have to agree on that one. I'm American, but think the UK one is much better. Gervais is golden.

  • amen to that my friend.but i feel i must correct you on one vital point;americans are not muppets..no,no as it has become all too clear to all of mankind over the past few years, americans are ARSEHOLES.....

  • To make a blanket statement like "Americans are ARSEHOLES..." proves your ignorance. Yes, the UK version of The Office was much better. However, you don't have to make a stereotyping, bigoted remark because SOME Americans (like SOME Brits, or SOME Germans, etc) are "arseholes" to prove your point.

  • Yep, the American one is better.

  • pretty hilarious, but if you haven't watched the american version, it's WAY funnier!

  • Didn't see much of the American one, but I think the British one is fantastic! I'm Irish but I do get the English homour - Gervais is a legend.

  • I'm Aussie and I find the British Office better. The American one seems so forced in its humour where put Gervais in any situation and he's just naturally an idiot

  • I personally, enjoy both versions equally. Theres things I like more about each. I enjoy David more than Micheal, because David is more awkward and a bigger jackass. But I like the whole Pam&Jim more than Tim&Dawn. But heh, to each his own.

  • HA HA HA I love it!

  • Oh my god...I'd hate to be him..

  • Classic!

  • this isn't as funny as the American office and i think stuff like Monty python and other British humor is pretty funny

  • pffft its 100 times better u twat

  • Pfft! No way!!!!

    the American version sucks balls.

  • i think the american version is better if your a moronic idiot yank. The english version has only 2 series (plus xmas specials) which are jammed packed full of subtle comedy, unlike the brashness of the american version.

also you gotta ask yourself who would you rather see live comedy from or a GOOD sitcom from the answer is ricky gervais (and Stephen Merchant) rather than Carrell...(not to say carrell isnt funny (in Little miss sunshine his brilliant) but not in a sitcom

  • yea but him and his cast are great, hes the only people had ever heard about b4 he was obn the office, now half the charecters are a household name.

  • hahaha stop with your patriotic bullshit and have a laugh

    that dance is hilarious!

  • i dont do the thumbs shit ya mook. i just comment and break balls

  • stop arguing which version is better, and just enjoy the damn show

  • @narcmonster88 Good thing Gervais is supposed to be reprising David Brent on this season. Brent vs Michael oh god the epicness that will follow

  • u all should watch The french version of The Office...then u all can have a triangle fight..how nice :)

  • honestly people.

as much as you argue about which version is better- im positive no one will ever be more correct than the other person. obviously the british version was the original with its own original taste of witty comedy, but the AMerican version is primarily a whole new style and rendition of the show.

Americans have different comedic opinions than those in Britain. ricky and michael are two completely different caracters. accept the fact that they are.. two different shows.

  • i agree completely. i do appreciate that the show was created in britain but the american version is much funnier

  • The flag doesn't represent us being 'obsessed' with ourselves. It represents how we won our freedom.. Are you seriously gonna set American people apart from Brits? Just because we talk different and have different governments? That's real great. But in no way do we think we're better and it's considered 'the American thing to do' when we put flags up...but to each his own I guess...

  • In my opinion both shows are great. I have a special fondness for Ricky, especially when he does his music numbers, which truely suck, in the best possible way. Love that guy, and this great clip. Thanks!

  • nothing will ever compare to dwight!!! "The best character in all of TV!

  • man its like the brits cant stand that america one uped them again! "with the same creator"

  • Yeah, it is originally British. The main actor (Ricky Gervais) wrote it i think.

  • It is an originally British show, right? Anyway, the American version has its moments, but it's not really as funny.

  • then why are u watching this?

  • just curious about the brittish version but not after what i saw of it buddy.

  • re: wheres arthur, pam, creed, stanley?

ohhh boo hoo... dam idiot.. american version sucsk..

so slapstick.. but obviously .. u like that becuz u dont like thinking .. correct?

  • ur just sayin evry likes american one more becoz U R AMERICAN, obseessed with urselves, u really are. I cant fink of any american film WITHOUT the fucking flag in it somewhere

  • ur just sayin evry likes american one more becoz U R AMERICAN, obseessed with urselves, u really are. I cant fink of any american film WITHOUT the fucking flag in it somewhere

  • if u knew anything about britain u might know that a lot of people think we shouldnt have a monarch anymore because the royal family costs the tax payer millions of pounds to pay for their maids and guards etc. most americans don't know anything abotu other counrties cus they are too obsessed with themselves. there are plenty of vids on here askin americans if they know who gordon brown is and loads of ppl dont know. most couldnt point out britain on a map.

  • Damn Straight! America... Fuck yeah!

  • HAHA funny

.unfortunately i rkon the american one isn't as good as it is put out to be.. i found it really boring.. but everyone has a different sense of humour :)

  • I agree!!!

Ricky Gervais is one of a kind, a true master of awkward humor; I have no doubt though that the American version should be hilarious too (but I haven't seen it yet)!

  • they're both great, but for different reasons!

  • i like the american version better

  • im english and i love the english version but wer can u see the american version cuz i fink its probli just as funny (from wat ive herd ) .... can ne1 upload sum of da american version ... id apreciate it

  • hi, its being advertised on paramount comedy so i think its going to start showing soon, you can get the channel on sky but i dont think you get it on telewest/virgin.

  • I Like the boss in the british more than the american though, the one in the american version just annoys me sometimes.

  • i really want to watch the british version but im in U.S...

    Where can i see it?

  • I have the dvd. Its both seasons. You can probably buy it somewhere online.

  • i've never seen the british office but it seems really funny!! the american one's so awesome and steve carrell is hilarious!

  • pretty funny. i love the american version and this is the first i've seen of the british version.

  • Hahaha, you don't have to be British or American or even a human to laugh at that dance. Even the Martians would have a giggle.

  • Im from nz and i love both but the original is allways gonna win my heart

  • absolutely awesome

  • ahah i remeber watching this one it was hillarious.

americans are too stubborn to even consider the british version...

  • it has nothing to do with being "stubborn". the british version intends to appeal to the british people (which it does) and the american version wants to appeal to the american people (and, again, it succeeds).

comparing shows from two utterly different cultures is absurd and petty. americans are not britons and vice versa.

  • We aint that differant bro, we all grew up watching each others shows, listining to each others Rock & Roll. I grew up watching SNL and Monty Python. We do pretty much the same thing, wake up, go work for the man, come home get drunk/stoned and hope for a bj from the wife.

    Peace

  • i like both... I think your to stubborn to even consider that

  • I'm American and saw the UK version first and think the US version is awful. Not all American's are too stubborn to watch the UK version but apparently some people are too stubborn to recognize that the US is an big place with a wide variety of people and that making clueless, sweeping statements makes one sound like an ass.

  • American version is trash compared to this... and for the record, I'm American.

  • Yay, yeah i love the british one too. They are both funny though, but i hate when people over exaggerate.

  • I love both versions but british comedy is halarious. Even though I dont get it some of the time.

  • ur version of the office is gay

  • do I have to travel to england to learn moves like that? you don't see those in american disco techs

  • hilarious love it!! the office rox my sox!!

  • No way, nothing beats the british version!!! It's the funniest show i've ever seen

  • american office... so much better.

  • British comedy is.. amazing.

  • the british version is miles better than americas one

  • lol this is my first time i saw the british version

  • you mean, 'The Original' version.

  • uhh. well i tried to compare the americans and british, and i do not understand what the british are saying. so i realli cant. for some reason i didnt think it was that funny. but maybe its just taste. iono I JUST LOVE THE AMERICAN VERSION.

  • I love this clip.. The British version is so incredibly much better then the American version.

  • i have NEVER laughed this hard before!!! i was on the floor dying!! what show is this??

  • The Office!!!

  • tune Trammps - Disco Inferno

  • Watching the American version of the Office is kinda sad actually. It's a funny show, but they steal so many of the exact same jokes as the British version. I can understand copying something like American Idol as a concept that worked for another audience, but to use the same jokes is just lazy. American comedy is great, but American Office is just re-hashing somehting that was already done well.

  • There is no contest. And i agree, Americans dont appreciate subtlety .. And Ricky is Big in America apparantly.. hmm.. Never heard of the people in US Office.. ahh and ALSO! Ricky Gervais WROTE The Office so obviously he is the best. :D

  • obviously

  • Ricky co-wrote The Office and although I'm guessing most Americans don't get subtlety they invented this style with This Is Spinal Tap which is weird. They do get Monty Python though, I don't..

  • I think who gets this kind of comedy and who doesn't has more to do with personality than nationality. As an American, I love the British version, the American version is just OK. David Brent is just perfect, one of the funniest men alive for sure.

  • american comedy is fucking shitef

  • Does anyone know that tune?

  • This whole US Office vs. UK Office argument is becoming hopelessly tiresome.

  • I agree completely.

  • This will be considered a classic scene on TV in a few years...UK version is just the best!!

  • I really CANNOT beleive that some people find the American version funnier. Im British and find the AV bloody hilarious but compared to Gervais? It just cant compete.

  • a handful of americans are in that boat because they don't appreciate subtlety. i'm american, but it's true; most of us like to be bashed over the head with things.

  • that was fucking hillarious!!!!

  • im sure th american ones gd n all bt nothing would beat ricky....not even carrel :P

    stick to th classic

  • I'm American, and I think Steve Carrell is one of the funniest actors out there... but David Brent was MEANT to be played by Ricky. The british version is way WAY better than the American one. Ricky Gervais is a comic genious, he's so natural. On the American Office you can tell they are acting.

  • It's genius in both British and American, not genious.

  • Yeah go fuck your sister.

Now thats funny, because its true! LOL

  • HUMOUR not HUMOR.

  • It's funny, I actually debated putting the u in parenthesis to prevent any further heat. But good catch, MOROUN.

  • Jesus Christ.. is it possible to have a single clip from The Office without a debate over which version is better? This is absolutely hilarious and you idiots would rather bicker like children than appreciate the humor.

  • Amen to that

  • The genious of either version of THE OFFICE comes down to Gevais, so if you want to have the experience as it was intended, the UK version is the obvious choice. It's like The Beatles or The Bee Gees in that Sgt. Pepper movie. I'm American and I surrender to the Brits on this one.

  • good point

  • American Version is WAYY better than the British one. :]

    thanks.*

  • Er, what? Are you for real? You could put the yank one in a little corner and forget about it, the UK version is class, plain and simple.

  • I think both are equally great..

  • love it. american here.. brit version kicks ours ass.

  • British version is better, definitely.

  • There has never been any show on television that I had to periodcally (and often) stop watching it because it was so unbearable. Gervais is pure genius.

  • I'm American I must say the AV is good, but the British version blows it away.

  • British version is by far better!!!

  • American version is very good, but its not even same ballpark as the british verstion!

  • Lol, wannabe.

  • haha that's hilarious, such a classic now. see how the woman in the red dress laughs just as the camera pans away.

  • It's was so bad that it was good!!! British version rocks!!!

  • British version is the best.

  • AV blows this one away.

  • You guys, you should all watch the Extras. Ricky Gervais is a comedy genius. And Steve Merchant's in it too. Wish we could also see Carl Pilkington in there as well, hehe. P.S. American version of The Office is pretty funny but not as funny imo.

  • no..

  • Its pretty funny. American version is better

  • the american version is like a cheap copy, it's crap.

  • Are you American by any chance?

  • retard

  • hahahaahaa!! legendary! I don't know how everyone managed not to laugh!

  • Hahahahhahaha David is SUCH a cunt!!

  • awesome!!
