  • Love it ! Thankyou Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo and globaloneness.

  • Very helpful - thanks.

  • Inspirational and universal, regardless to what religion you are! So who in the sanity of their mind could dislike this?

  • Oh.....How beautiful, what more could be said? How to change the world in one smple lesson.Thankyou Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo for your wonderful giving and thankyou globaloneness for sharing this video clip.

  • Thank you

  • Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo kicks ass!!

  • This woman is not enlightened at all. Diane Perry or Tenzim Palmo (her exotic stage name) is just a bitter annoying western feminist with an eastern mask. I read her Cave in the Snow ... it reeks of female-inferiority complex and grudge. She's disrespectful to most and she makes up outlandish fantasies about her own superior reincarnations...very vain woman.very unenlightened.

  • @NathanBForrest1776...... You are so mean for saying what you had posted on this comment. What are you? How did you know whether or not she is enlightened...

  • Like I've said, I've read her biography cave in the snow and seen the video documentary entitled cave in the snow. She comes across as angry, passionate , attached to ego, indignant ... Compare that to say, Chan Master, Sheng Yen who is really enlightened, that dude's mellow, cool, smiling, sweet ...this hag's a typical old british spinster.

  • @NathanBForrest1776 I think whatever she has spoken has been somewhat reasonable, right to the point of Buddhism. Anyone who gets to the core of this religion will come to one word "Now". She is one of them. How much do you know about her or follow her instructions? She to me is very brave and knowledgeble person. I am sure that there are not many people who listen to the teaching would understan what these intructors are talking about. Theory is one thing, practicing is another thing.

  • wtf that makes no sense at all ... you sound like the caricature of a rambler. even Buddha knew better, we all know how he was a steadfast against having women into his fold and only allowed them in after being coaxed and manipulated by his people.

  • @NathanBForrest1776 Nathan, your own comments come across as angry, passionate, attached to ego, indignant, and bitter. You seem to speak from your emotions and from your own judgmental self-righteousness. There is no tact in what you say. If convincing others that you are right and they are wrong is your intent, then this is not a good method.

  • I am not seeking to convince people who are moronic enough to listen to what she has to say. I'm sure she's sincere but that doesn't alter the fact that she's a bitter dry spinster. Yes, I am passionate. You all may be without fire but I am not. Passion changes the word like Christ's not weak meditative withdrawal for lazy masochistic people who don't want to contribute to society

  • @NathanBForrest1776 Jesus withdrew into the wilderness led by the holy spirit to pray & fast for 40 days and nights alone. By your definition how then was he not lazy or weak?

  • @NathanBForrest1776

Colossians 3:12 - ...clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Corinthians 13:4 - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

Matthew 5:5 - Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

2 Philippians 2:3 Do nothing from selfishness or conceit, but in humility count others better than yourselves.

  • I am all for love and compassion. I just believe against free-loader, lazy, masochist, inactive behavior that this lady embodies. Definitely vanity. She's certainly very proud of having lived like a prehistoric human.

  • What are you talking about? I read the bible and Jesus was more of a nagging bitter hot head than Tenzin Palmo ever was. Jesus was always very ugly and bitter towards them "poisoness pharisees and saducees" He was always complaining about his disciples how they dont have faith and he also had a bad temper with anyone dealing with money at the temples. Not to mention Jesus was the biggest lazy bastard ever in history. If he didnt have wine, well he'll just lift his magic finger and make some.

  • @NathanBForrest1776: eh, you are a neo-conservative Christian?

  • @NathanBForrest1776

Technically, everyone is enlightened Nate. What seperates the teacher from your everyday person is that they are aware of their true nature. Some teachers are assholes too. Their anger stems from love though, much like how parents yell at their children. They do it because they care.

  • creepy as hell

  • @sunsplash1980 Oh really!! .....you don't get what she said right? It is too profound for you to understand?....You dumb as hell...

  • Well my parents taught me that! (great lamas.) You sat in a cave in the Himalayahs? I dreamt 4 or 5 years ago that I was sitting in such a cave. Suddenly a messanger arrived with a letter. (which had taken him a whole week to bring to me.) I opened it. And it was a letter from the Dalai Lama! Written in gold! (didn't understand a word, though. It was in Tibetan!) :-D

  • is it possible to attain enlightenment in the buddhist sense w/o a teacher? just a lone practitioner but with a sincere heart in the buddhist teachings!?

  • anatoric mentions the book,"Cave in the snow"...a wonderful book.I highly recommend it..."she engaged in 12 years

of intense Buddhist meditation.she faced unimaginable cold, wild animals, near starvation and avalanches;she grew her own food and slept in a traditional wooden meditation box,3 feet sq.- she never lay down; Her goal was to attain enlightenment as a woman."

  • well I am not Tibetan either but I am Tibetan Buddhist. This Teacher is to be respected and shown respect.

  • Yes, she was born in east london her father was a fishmonger but he died shortly after she was born and her mother had to raise "Diane Perry" as she was known then and her brother. She got a job working in a library to save up the money to travel to India and begin her amazing life... It's all in "Cave in the Snow" by Vicky Mackenzie which is Tenzin Palmo's life story.

  • If you do a quick wiki search you'll see she was born in East London in 1943, hardly an upperclass background no?

  • Why do no western buddhists seem to come from working class backgrounds?

  • Ani Palmo!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

    Many tashi deleks!

    happy Losar.
