  • great version of "come undone"!

and a wonderful extra piece of an every day Brian :)

  • starting at 1:18 that sounds very familiar. Is that a real song, or just some chords he's playing?

  • Noise music: for people who can't be fucked learning how to play guitar, but don't want to admit it.

  • @xXfalken16Xx so you think brian can't play guitar? he doesn't need to learn cos he's already mastered it! just take a look at his cover of bowie's five years, and see how a real musician can take a mediocre song and turn it into a beautiful piece of music with only an acoustic guitar and his fantastic voice

  • @rosalbina188 i listened to it... mastered guitar? he played a basic chord progression with a basic strum pattern, could go to a high school concert and see musicians with double this joker's 'ability'.

  • @xXfalken16Xx ok, so prepared guitar NO, acoustic guitar NO.. why don't you just say you don't like him? there's nothing wrong, you know.. fred durst would surely agree

  • You can't tell me people are actually calling this whole 'prepared' guitar thing music..

  • What pedals are being used? If any?

  • can you play it like a normal guitar?

  • What a interesting man, and the instrument too :) and when he starts to play ... wow I have to say - it's very nice! :)

  • His tummy has grown? xd

  • I'd like to know how it really sounds, without the overkill of effects on it. I can make my les paul sound like that with my effects.

  • pot belly!!! haha

  • all i can see is that he forgot to use his wonder bra.. i love placebo anyway :D!!!

  • would love to fall asleep with those sounds in the back, very dreamy and pure. Brian knows what guitars like best :). Thank you for sharing this video, absolutely saving it :)

  • Most of what sounds interesting there is from the effects he is running through, not the guitar itself. Might try and find some other videos where it shows off the guitar a little better.

  • @dougydarkangel what effects is he using?

  • Is this the guitar made by Lezing Yuri?

  • @TheEchoChamber Sounds pretty cool - I love using weird sounds.

  • @TheEchoChamber Person who made the Moonlander?

  • @TsukiKira Indeed! :-)

  • @TheEchoChamber I'm pretty sure it is XD I forgot what my reasoning was though...

  • Damn! I love to see Molko that human! In sort way of the meaning...

  • The life of Brian...guitars...guitars...guitars ;-)

  • anybody know if there are any other vids with demos of this guitar?

  • it's my impression or molko is going fat¡

  • it's from the making of, right?

i have that, too. i know every second of it^^

  • Then why the fuck do you ask?

  • because i wanted to be sure.

and i'm glad when people comment my vids, so i comment others.

    what's ur problem?

  • does somebody know what effect is used in peeping tom , and how can i make that "sonar" sound like in english summer rain?

  • peeping tom is played on the neck pickup with slight overdrive and digital delay. That´s it!

  • thanks a lot! :D

  • Me encanta cómo suena. Thank you for the video.

  • That's not a prepared guitar, actually. That's an experimental Springtime 2 guitar. It has 8 tuning pegs, 4 used in Bass style, 2 course (used in unison) strings, and 2 more pegs to allow 7/8 string setups (The original Springtime used 7 strings as the standard)

It's to bad he never actually used it in the album, it's a beautiful instrument.

  • this IS the original Springtime,because it has 7 tuning pegs,and 3 pickups(Springtime 2 has 5)

  • @metaslugx Are the pickups going lengthwise rather than at right angles to the strings? That's what it looks like.

  • @HoodedSword The pickups are lengthwise, which would explain why there are so many jacks.

  • @metaslugx Was this recently? I cannot tell from his hairstyle if this is old or new?

  • @1SexiNici It's pretty recent, he borrowed it to experiment with during the making of Battle for the Sun

  • @metaslugx apparantly it was used on the intro to bright lights

  • @metaslugx its actually a springtime 1

  • Prepared guitar is underused. I'm not a fan of Placebo but admire Molko for exposing it a bit more.

  • thats a springtime!

  • thats the springtime

  • FUKKEN SAVED

  • that's come undone :)

  • Good to see Brian in the studio and what goes on there!

  • they should have a song with that guitar it really is pretty cool :) and yes he should deffinetly dress like that on performances :D

  • i believe it was said somewhere that he plays that guitar on bright lights.

  • I like this, but my favourite part of this film is when Brian is saying: Where is my goddamn latte!!!!??? hahaha I love them

  • omg, what a guitar... sounds sooo interesting, it's like playing 3 guitars in the same time. and what sounds it makes, fucking hell, i guess i have to sell my whole house to buy such a thing...

    Oh, and nice tits, bri:P

  • @SoupCan368 you don't have to sell your house, you can always do it yourself.

  • he should dress up like that in his performances

  • i completely agree! and hair included.

  • of course

  • especially the hair! it's a must!!!
