To anyone watching this video getting ideas; the chests reset in the game. The only chests that never reset are in the houses you buy.
If you're desperate for a house, there's a house in the Imperial City for 2,000. Talk to Vinicia Melissaeia in the Office of Imperial Commerce (It's in the Market District). You should also have 700+ handy for the storage upgrade. A quest will show up for who to talk to for it.
For quick money, join the mages guild and sell the alchemist their own equipment.
im sure you could have let the cat live n keep em as a house pet should have just pickpocket him. totally wanna get the pc version now sucks you cant mod on the 360.....
I just get a abandon house disable all the junk inside with ~ disable and put my own furniture from the imperial furniture mod thing I also use ~ setownership at the front door to make it my house :D
just work up 5k and go buy the house at anvil just do the quest and it will be i real manor and its furnished cheap if u ask me so stop being so fucking cheap guys

and no i dont have THE unbreakable lockpick, i dont even know where to find it ( dont spoil ), its so easy, you can acually hear when yer supposed to press the pick button.
I don't get why you would play oblivion on pc, cuz' you can just use cheats to unlock doors ( instead of getting security up ) etc... it would be no fun playing the game.
@OrangeJek13 A lot of people who play Oblivion on the PC generally have a game save that they cheat on and add mods to. I mean he has something like 900 million gold or something and has modded armour and weapon so he obviously cheats a lot in this particular save. However if he cheats in every save game he's got then there's no point in that/

But everything I've heard about Skyrim points toward the Morrowind amount of detail. Also with a more intuitive combat mechanic it should be awesome. The developers said Skyrim would be 300 hours of content, and I believe them.
@Soreanol Yeah, the Oblivion gates were really boring. There was no way I was doing all 20+ of them. And they said there was like 50 hrs of gameplay with Oblivion, and I played for waay longer than that. In fact I still play it. So 300 hours of gameplay should be timesed by like 10 :P

just download battle horn castle.....aka fighters strong hold u get our own castle....find it online for free i download the computer version and all the DLC for free cause i wanted to try the mods....i have the 360 version also

For a similar reason, if you decide to 'top' Mr Lachance to rifle him for his kit, be careful where you do it. Due to a lack of animated front doors I had a stiff cluttering up the Bruma house. Unless there is a way to get rid of it. Anyone?

@2014moorea if you paid attention, it DOES NOT count as stealing. the hand icon is yellow in any other house its red.. thats why it is that particular house, understand now?

@2014moorea yes you can sleep. after you unlock the door, kill him and exit. then go back in. there's a house named guard house in the elven gardens, you can do the same. no one lives or ever goes there

@gggg889 That means when you murder a regular person for the first time, it means this group called the dark brotherhood watched you or something. Then if you sleep in a bed and wake up, some dude will pop up and talk to you about joining the Dark Brotherhood.
if u dont want to deal with a guard just use illusion or speechcraft to get the guys disposition way up, then attack him and lure him 2 the basement like normal, yield to him (hell accept as long as the disposition is high enough) and i think that drops the charge of assaulting him. then all u hav to do is sneak attack him before he goes back upstairs. if u can kill him in one hit, there'll be no charges at all. Oh by the way darkblade9116 if u store stuff in that house, will it disappear later?
A small point... the guards did NOT come because you killed the guy; as long as you killed him where no one sees, you're good (except for the Assassin lead-in, of course.) No, what gets the guard there is, when you assaulted the Khajit, he cried out "Assault!" THAT is what got the guard to come.
is it me or do most ways to get a free house involve killing some1? when in the waterfront theres an abandoned shack where everythings yours, the doors always open and you can sleep in the bedrolls and also have 2 housemates :D
Guys, Dont go here. Don't store items in the things because after 3 days ingame the chests respawn which means it script respawns so that will make your items dissapear PERM.. Which means you need to load a new friggen save
A house I won't spent minute inside because the chests are respawning (this means, after 3 days in game you will loose everything the chests...)
So practically useless, I will not go here, becuase I cant store things here. So its house for free but useless :)
I use "Your imperial city house mod" house is practically free - owner commits a suicide at the bridge, you get the key and you have nice furnished house, without decorations. Worth a try :)
no offence but this does not qualify as a free house if it qualifyed as a free house it would have to have at least 1 chest/cabinit ect. to store stuff in and that house sucks anyways if you want a good house in imperial city just complete the thives guild quest line and you get a pretty nice house on tehe waterfront and its not a shack at all the entrance looks like a mausalium entrance. Note the entrance only appears after you complete the quest line so dont confuse it with one of the shacks.

@jakerocker456 I think they do. Most of the containers are respawning. You should take your items out of the containers that are in the house.

Yes there is an "open average lock" spell.
Find the mages guild hall that specialises in alteration.
If you're level 10 or over go get the skeleton key and you'll be able to open anything pickable.

A small point... the guards did NOT come because you killed the guy; as long as you killed him where no one sees, you're good (except for the Assassin lead-in, of course.) No, what gets the guard there is, when you assaulted the Khajit, he cried out "Assault!" THAT is what got the guard to come.

is it me or do most ways to get a free house involve killing some1? when in the waterfront theres an abandoned shack where everythings yours, the doors always open and you can sleep in the bedrolls and also have 2 housemates :D

Guys, Dont go here. Don't store items in the things because after 3 days ingame the chests respawn which means it script respawns so that will make your items dissapear PERM.. Which means you need to load a new friggen save

A house I won't spent minute inside because the chests are respawning (this means, after 3 days in game you will loose everything the chests...)
So practically useless, I will not go here, becuase I cant store things here. So its house for free but useless :)
I use "Your imperial city house mod" house is practically free - owner commits a suicide at the bridge, you get the key and you have nice furnished house, without decorations. Worth a try :)

no offence but this does not qualify as a free house if it qualifyed as a free house it would have to have at least 1 chest/cabinit ect. to store stuff in and that house sucks anyways if you want a good house in imperial city just complete the thives guild quest line and you get a pretty nice house on tehe waterfront and its not a shack at all the entrance looks like a mausalium entrance. Note the entrance only appears after you complete the quest line so dont confuse it with one of the shacks.
