  • A true Joy, from Beethoven to us, mere mortals.

  • una mia amica l'ha suonata oggi con il flauto dolce a scuola nell'ora di latino ( parlavamo delle bucoliche di virgilio)!

  • very good

  • fue maravilloso poder disfrutar de esta obra ayer..¡¡ no hubo mejor forma de terminar una semana tan complicada, todo un regalo ... Y EL MEJOR¡¡

  • i thought there was random farting noises in this guess not better go look at charlie bite me penis...

  • Absolutely sensational. It really brings tears to my eyes.

  • saw this live performed by the vancouver symphony. It was awesome!

  • Probably one of the most beautiful and graceful compositions ever written by a human being. Brings me joy each and every time I hear it.

  • no snow on this beautiful vid ?

  • 4:21 ...

  • 8:00 - 8:30 is some of the most rich, powerful music I've heard in my lifetime thus far, I think.

  • This piece is too beautiful. It blows my mind every time i hear it, i love it so much that main melody makes me want to cry with happiness!! :)

  • Beautiful piece of music

  • So wonderful to hear this transcendent music again after so many years. The photography of the lake-like pond fit the score perfectly. Thank you for posting this gem and for Youtube for allowing it to happen.

  • I live 20min away from walden pond.

  • Justin Beiber and Beethoven should collab!!!!

  • @Jbeatzmusic I cant tell if you are joking or not?

  • @Jbeatzmusic Ludin van Beibhoven?

  • Thank God for sending us geniuses like Mozart, Bach and Beethoven to delight our souls with divine music!

  • @AshtarSheranComand

It may sound limiting, but I've heard it said by others as well; Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart are really all you need.

"Bach gave us God's word, Mozart gave us God's laughter, Beethoven gave us God's fire. God gave us music that we might pray without words."

  • @TreetrunkKurt

I totally agree, my dear friend!

What would we be without music? Sometimes when I'm down, I hear the divine song translated by these geniuses, about everything from Bach, and refresh me absolutely! May peace be with you always dear Kurt!

  • @TreetrunkKurt G'day. I am not a theist, but I agree with you 100% Soul. inner being. self. To all, that they wish for others, unto themselves.Mark N.

  • @TreetrunkKurt schubert too

  • 6 Rebecca Black fans

  • Have you checked out Waldo De los Rios's version? More rhythm, depth and melodic beauty. Beethoven would surely have concurred with my humble opinion. Listen for yourself, the track can be found on youtube music. Cheers, Mike New Zealand.

  • delícia!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • at 9:59 is where it gets good

  • dobby is free!... you shall not harm harry potter

  • If there is music in Heaven this is what it would sound like.

  • Apart from Kenny Dalglish and Bobby Fisher,Beethoven is a true hero of mine. What was he seeing or thinking when he composed music of absolute genius as this? God only knows!

  • How the hell can anyone tick a thumbs down for such genius as this!

  • @philmixer Not all people have been blessed with the sensibility

we have, and I'm sorry for them... They don't know what they are

missing: the never ending ecstasy brought by such compositions...

  • @jetzt0844 Thanks for your reply. Its nice to know there are people like you who enjoy the finer things in life.

  • @philmixer because it's nowhere near his best work. Boring

  • @bryonyrocks Boring? you would not know a masterpiece if it smacked you in the face!

  • @philmixer I think a classic did just smack us in the face, i mean, if we listened.

9:59 of peace in a violent, frightening, world

  • @bryonyrocks You've got to be kidding me. This is as far from boring as you can get.

  • I feel bad for anyone who isn't reminded of the White Seal leading all the other seals to seal paradise when they hear this.

  • this is amazing before looking at the title i was like this sound like being played in a wood of a field or something and then it turns out it called the pastoral symphony this man is a genius.

  • i'm brazilian sou foda

  • hahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahakkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkvkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkikkkkkkkkkkkkakkkkkkkkkdkkkkkkkokkkkkkkde

  • LONG LIVE THE THIRD (EROICA)!!! BEST OF BEETHOVEN'S BEST!!!

  • to hell with arguments. Beethoven composed to his feelings. He didnt do it for the court; hell he even tried to break a chair over someones head. Beethoven was a rebel, and and angry one. He sought war with the non musical world. Read a bio. I love and admire Ludwig... He changed music. His music shat in the face of mozart. Compare fugues.

  • No matter how bad my mood, this ALWAYS takes it away!!!

  • What a great surprise to know that the beautiful pictures are from the surroundings of Walden Pond (in Concord, Massachussets), where my best author, HENRY DAVID THOREAU, lived alone in a very simple hut for two years !! His philosophy fascinated me in my course of American Literature many years ago. I read his book Walden and

would like to live the same experience he did, in the midst of Nature !!!!

  • Wunderbar !! Brilliant !! Impossible to compare such magnificent composers as

Beethoven, Richard Wagner, Mozart, Bach... and others ! All of them are brilliant and

it is really a bless from Heaven to be able to listen to these gifts to our ears and our hearts !!

  • @jetzt0844 : Please don't forget Brahms and Mahler??!!

  • @jetzt0844 Well said my friend,it certainly is impossible to compare composers,as they had their different styles. They all composed magnificent music.

  • beethoven is a master!!!

  • Beethoven used and learned from Mozart

As did the Beatles from Black American blues artists

For me Beethoven represents the ultimate expression in music that mankind can offer...

But you can't compare generations or epochs because objectivity is impossible and subjectivity gets boring...

  • so called it, ''heavenly music'', true.

    Elaine-theRainbow

  • 3 people son sordas

  • BEETHOVEN LE ROI DU ROMANTISME TOUTES SES SYMPHONIES SONT MERVEILLEUSES ET CONCERTOS ETC...... MERCI A VOUS POUR LES VIDEOS ET AU GRAND GENIE !

  • Please don't compare Beethoven to Mozart. Mozart was a "once in a millenium" phenomenon, musically gifted beyond comprehension, Beethoven was a genious that had to go thorough incredibly personal hardship to create his music, but what music !!! Music that goes straight to the heart. (Not that Mozart's music doesn't - but somehow in a different way).

  • Beautiful !

I love this symphony and especially this piece

  • immense sadness under cover of joy: for music makes nothing happens. cover which comes not from hipocrisy but from being aware of choice: either you choose illusion or you become mad. let's take illusion, which harmony justifies Darker Everything

  • Beutiful scenery, especially with accompanied by the beautiful music. Nice job!

  • Thumbs up if you first heard this song in the original 'Disney's Fantasia' movie. XD

  • I need bigger headphones

  • @KevinR242 It should be pointed out that although Albert Eintein loved Mozart's music, the quote is from a musicologist named Alfred Einstein - no relation.

  • @amadeus9man Damn. That's a very good point amadeus Ill remember to watch out for that because I know of Alfred. E.

  • @KevinR242 Beethoven's music, on occasion, soars to such lofty heights that mere mortals, such as youself, have difficulty breathing the rarified air there. That being said, I listen to Mozart and laugh, and Beethoven to cry. Rossini can, however, make me feel like i've just a 10k

  • @KevinR242

You mussn't say "Mozart is the greatest composer of all", but "In my point of view Mozart is...". It's your own judgment, not a universal one. And for me it's not Mozart, but Lully who is the best.

  • @Beingmeansliberty Yeah I don't think I said that though. I was quoting Alfred.

  • @Beingmeansliberty NO - BUDDY HOLLY WAS!

  • @KevinR242 se ve que no sabes de musica, ni entiendes las diferencias de los dos maestros, para mi Beethoven es superior

  • @SwedishBlacks I totally agree - I didn't post great music on YouTube in order to have annoying comparisons in my mailbox for months.

  • @amadeus9man lol

  • @SwedishBlacks apostrophes are from omission or possession, never plurals

  • @SwedishBlacks at 4;20 min starting everithing about music!!!

  • @2pac1411 i love beethoven!!!

  • Yes! The best of the bests! should enjoy it in the equally best concert though

  • Yes! The best of the bests!

  • What a stupid uneducated set of ppl here comparing great composers !!!! Grow up....

  • @ladytamuril unlike your grammar.... *scoffscoffscoff*

  • @jimmyjimmyjimjim2293 I am not quite sure what @ladytamuril stated previously to your reply; however, your grammar is incorrect as well for your ellipsis contains an extra period rather than the traditional three.

  • 123 my friend pls do not compare composers you cannot, beethoven tchaikovsky grieg all are great there is not one that stands that much above rest trust me

  • @PhysicalsimForever You're joking of course. Requiem notwithstanding... In Bach, Beethoven and Wagner we admire principally the depth and energy of the human mind; in Mozart, the divine instinct. (Edvard Grieg)

Mozart is the greatest composer of all. Beethoven created his music, but the music of Mozart is of such purity and beauty that one feels he merely found it—that it has always existed as part of the inner beauty of the universe waiting to be revealed. (Albert Einstein)

  • Was sind das für Menschen die solche Melodien auf Papier bringen. Etwas für die Ewigkeit.

  • @PhysicalsimForever I believe Bach and Beethoven's works are better than Mozarts.

I would also like to point out that Mozart composed music that his listening audience wanted to hear. The 6th is one of my favorites.

  • Beethoven "Pastoral" Symphony - 5th Movement

  • painfully beautiful

  • painfully beautiful

  • absolutamente perfecta!!

  • Parábens! o vídeo é maravilhoso ♥

  • love Pastoral Symphony love the sound of nature great video thank you very much

  • I can feel that something from the great conductor Otto Klemperer is still present in this excellent version. Thanks for this video with such beautiful images.

  • UNA BELLEZA

  • @ladytamuril I used to place Mozart at the top of my likes, but gradually Beethoven sneaked in, and now is my favorite. No one gives me goosebumps and brings tears to my eyes like his music does.

  • Magisterial performance.

  • This piece is the completeness of musical experience. If for nothing else, to hear this it was worth to be born.

  • Alright, who's the guy who pressed the 'dislike' button?

  • nice! music for God's Creating the World!:):)

  • This is one of the most beautiful videos Ive ever seen on youtube. Thank you very much.

  • One of my favourite all time pieces and this orchestra play it so well. Thanks for sharing.

  • I like your dedication in the video description. I feel exactly the same way.

  • My mon recently told me that when i was two, i was at a shop with her and i heard this playing on the radio. I lifted up one finger and said: "MOMMY! It's Beethoven!'

(my mom always played this symphony on a cd at home)

And all the people in the store looked at me with a amazed face like " What the heck?! A two-year old? "

LOL. it wasn't even that extraordinary, i just heard it alot and recognized it.

  • it's just a beautiful, uplifting tune that reminds u of life, birth, being born & the fact that life goes on surely?? Some1 else might have written.. sorry, compsed it but he did! It's pointless comparing it 2 something that might have been but never happened surely. They were different people with different minds at the end of the day & Mozart would/will b applaud/applauding him wherever he was/is x

  • Here I am on the opposite side of the world from most of you ... but this still sounds absolutely wonderful. The photographs are fantabulous. Greetings to one and all from Big Hugh of Mundlimup in glorious Western Australia.

  • Allegretto - Hino de ação de graças dos pastores, após a tempestade

  • thank you for posting this

  • Not an authentic version of Beethovens work, but very nice nevertheless. The "beat" part is a modern interpretation but has nothing to do with the way he wrote this piece.

  • it is ever so beautiful. What a genius. The greatest German.

  • Oh! it's a beauty! it seems like i have went back to the old ages..haha

  • to my playlist :D

  • I love i love i love i love i love.. not enough words to say how much i love Beethoven, since I was born. I've seen this symphony played by the Wiener Philarmoniker, now I want to spend my life listening this one, the 6th and the 9th.

  • Ho! Ho! Ho! The llama is cookin' tonight!

  • "an artist's merit is judged by the amount of work he/she produced." - tianobrothers

    What an obviously false statement.

  • Excellent.

  • These pictures do not fit the music at all!

  • Useless debate... We are lucky we have had these geniuses, Mozart and Beethoven, so we can enjoy both.

  • @freekyhorselover1153 .......Stick at it ....you'll get better !

  • Yay! Happy!

  • This is amazing! Thanks for posting this!.

  • One dislike lol What the hell?

  • Does it matter if Beethoven was better than Mozart? No, it doesn't, and I'm and sure they'd rather you listen to and appreciate their music than flood their youtubes with constant bickering.

  • ooh, it's the one from fantasia! just kidding

  • flawless

  • @freekyhorselover1153 lol whenever school orchestras play this, we tend to lack the peaceful quality that makes this peace amazing. XD

  • @robotracking : I TOO HAVE FOND MEMORIES OF THIS DEEPLY MOVING MUSIC AS I LAY ON THE FLOOR OF OUR LIVINGROOM, FIRE BLAZING WHILE I READ BOOKS ALOUD TO MY CHILDREN IN THE DIM LIGHT WITH BEETHOVEN'S SIXTH LIGHTLY PLAYINGON IN THE BACKGROUND.

    THERE IS HEAVEN ON EARTH!

  • i would have to agree with you on what you stated. Aaron Copland brought out the heart of the American music. so i do agree with you. i have been brought up with classical music for the better part of 25 years and i know what you speak of. the conductor Karajan is in my view beethoven reincarnated

  • Muy buena composición excelente trabajo, lleno de énfasis con carácter, como el gran Ludovic.

    Saludos de Coro Quadrivium Talavera

  • 4:20 to 4:50 orgasmic¡¡¡¡¡

  • yechh!! I hate this awful performance of such a wonderful piece of music.

  • There just aint pleasin' some people. What on earth is wrong with it?

  • mozart

  • Mercedes Pastor Fa 13 -noviembre-2009

Esta sinfonía de Beethoven es bellísima.

Tiene una música tan descriptiva , que te imaginas que estás en el campo .

    Un maravilla

  • The BEST OF THE BEST!!!

WONDERFUL SONG TO SOUL, SPIRITO, MIND, LIFE!!!

  • in other words, LVB was an arrogant swaggart, he was in self-denial, he was brutal,..., and he was DEAF when he dreamed up his best stuff. Pick any before or after, who has done this feat ??!!! From all that will ever be heard, HE is and always will be the reigning champion to set any musical bar to.

    :)

  • Bach.

  • mozart

  • mozart. hands down. the other gentlemen have my respect but "wolfie" was in a class of his own!!!!! crossover before crossover existed.

  • the world would be a lesser place without either

  • Interesting that Beethoven regarded Mozart as the great master of composition, and Mozart regarded Beethoven with similar distinction.

  • LVB is to Classical Symphonic Music like the Pittsburgh Steelers are to NFL Football Championships.

Simply, THE BEST OF THE REST !!!

    HACK.

  • beethoven <3

  • I used this music on a joke hypnosis programme which unfortunately turned to be too effective.

  • Thanks for posting this excellent performance in such high quality audio.

As for the argument going on: Just enjoy the music! Both Mozart and Beethoven are amazing in their own way.

  • Sorry to burst your bubble but since Mozart is considered the greater genius by pretty much everyone, I consider this to also mean he was the greatast composer..Just because the man didn't live long enough to prove it should be irrelevent. Just because he didn't have the same volume of work should also be irrelevent..I love Beethoven..But Mozart was the greatast music genius ever. Period. Everyone knows it. So just let it be.

  • a. Mozart produced more music than Beethoven. Get your facts straight.

    b. Can you provide an objective definition of what "great" is? If you can't, then trying to convince others that your opinion of who is the greatest composer is a waste of time.

  • I agree with what you say here. I just want to add one more point for tiano and others who think Beethoven was the greatast.. I think it's highly unfair that Beethoven got to study everything Mozart did but not the other way around. Mozart got no opportunity to "answer" one of Beethovens symphonies. Mozart never had anyone in his lifetime that challenged him. We will never know how Mozart would have responded had he lived 20 years longer.

  • I think its safe to say, you know what my answer would be had mozart been given the opportunity to absorb one of Beethoven's symphonies and then work on more of his own. I think Mozart would have equaled or surpassed him - easily. That's how talented Mozart was.

  • "Mozart got no opportunity to 'answer' one of Beethovens symphonies" ????????

You depict musicians as opponents in a game who contend with eachother through their music ! Beethoven's heavenly music couldnt have spurred Mozart's talent to produce better. Music so beautiful as this isn't the result of ones jealous wish to write the 'best' music... NO ! Something so lovely as this stems from the artist's mind and .heart, His passion and prowess for what he does...

    Beethoven IS THE GREATEST !!!

  • Your comment "..HIGHLY UNFAIR THAT BEETHOVEN GOT TO STUDY, etc..." suggests that you bear grudges over people's natal arrival on earth??? Is that even something one should be upset about as if justice is attached to birthdates???? Been following the arguments here and I think tianobrother is right in regarding you as IMMATURE.

  • Gothic is correct !! and again YOU ARE WRONG !!! . Mozart produced around 600 works way more work than that of Beethoven. This proves AGAIN that Beethoven is THE GREATEST COMPOSER if we apply the argument of ratio probability.

  • Ah we agree to disagree! cool! I honestly do not care about ratio probability. Both men were incredible in my book. I just feel Mozart had way more potential and didnt get a chance to show it..beethoven had 20 something more years to reach his full potential..Mozart has a masterpiece in every genre of music of his day..Unfortunately I cannot say the same for beethoven. But you are entitled to your opinion.

  • Beethoven had lived 20 years longer and still couldn't match Mozart's operas. Mozart has a masterpiece in everything: operas, symphonies, piano sonatas, piano concertos, etc.. He was without a doubt one of the greatast ever for the human voice. His musical memory was off the charts. Beethoven wrote EVERYTHING down. If Mozart was given a chance to reach his full potential, he would have given Beethoven some competition. If you dont agree, you dont know Mozart!

  • well put!!! mozart!!!!!! nuff said!!!!

  • As a Beethoven lover, I am here to give a different side to the argument that Beethoven "was god" and the greatest ever. He spent years on everything he did, of course it will be good. The potential of Mozart was off the charts and he never really reached full potential. That's my main point..Beethoven struggled in certain aspects of music. So in my opinion, Mozart WOULD have been the greatest..Is that better for you?

  • I hear ya. But why deal with "would have's," "could have's," and "should have's"? No point there is all.

  • Also, you are merely ASSUMING here

that life's circumstances in Mozart's time would remain favorable allowing him to

continue working and surpass even his own works had he lived longer. NOBODY knows anything beyond what happens

during the Now. I see your point but it is more of a wish than an argument. Jeez, you must be in pain. So let it go dude.

  • @beethovenlovedmozYou have no idea who is beethoven, with nine Beethoven symphonies reaches higher than Mozart, Beethoven mozart the Atlantic and the Pacific, should know and be escuhcado the two to form an opinion, is just classic Mozart, Beethoven has three periods, tell me to play piano quartets Mozart and what is best sionfonia, escuhcas to Mozar If he is ABCD art

  • @beethovenlovedmozart and ABDZYW Beethoven, his compositions have more power and range, concerts for piano and violin, there is no comparison Mozart is very good and divine but Beethoven is beyond the purely sublime, but it is Beethoven and no point of comparison

  • @cdera01 ..While I admire your passion about Beethoven, you are letting your emotions tell you who was better. I love Beethoven..But after years of studying and listening, Mozart was the reason Beethoven became who he was. Without Mozart, Beethoven would have not taken music to the new level you appreciate.Yes I know, Mozart learned from past composers as well.

  • @cdera01 Compare Mozart to what he wrote and what his peers wrote at the time..The gap was just off the charts in musical composition, theory, and mastery.

I mean the closest thing to Mozart in his time was maybe Haydn and there is a huge gap in musical ability there. Now compare Beethoven to what others were writing in his time..The gap is not as huge. Schubert is one example.

  • @cdera01 Mozart took classical music up to unbelievable heights in his lifetime, but we didnt realize how much until he was gone.

Mozart lived to be 35, and Beethoven still worshiped the guy til his death at 57..What does that tell you?

  • @beethovenlovedmozart but gets more Beethoven prints more variety to your music, not necessarily beautiful music like Mozart, is rather music with a touch more far-reaching psychological more personal level

  • @beethovenlovedmLVB, which Mozart is compared with the ninth time and transcendence, seeking saying Wagner, Shubert , Bhrams, Mahler, etc. .. I recommend the biography of E. T. A hoffman on beethoven, Mozart's music is beautiful, but do not say anything, I bet you have not heard the four piano concert beethoven, fantasy or coral, and less the Hammerklavier or Krutz, is for children mozart beethoven jajajaja allozart

  • @cdera01 Don't forget the late String Quartets. Absolutely magnificent.
