Stargate Universe, V , Legend of the seeker, Firefly - and many more - it seems the lack of creative knowledge in America is astounding. Also they let you in emtionally (as a psychologist and sci-fan I know) the first 2 series get you hooked on the emotional aspect of the characters. Its financially selfish and emtionally/morally wrong for the assholes to do this.
