  • Beautiful dance. I love your use of the flags. I can just imagine how tired and sore their arms must have been from doing so much with the flags!

It would be really cool if someone offered a flag/banner workshop in my area.

  • i like it bcause so amazing for me, yeaah

  • Thank you so much for sharing this video! It is beautiful!

  • i love this video awesome job

  • The flags are so beautiful. What is the measurement of the flags? I mean length of the pole and measurement of cloth. I notice that there is a rectangular flag and something like triangular? We would like to do this for a christmas presentation. Thanks for your help.

  • @Grimesclaire Where do you live? if you are any where in chicago i can help you

  • @Grimesclaire i live in the UK unfortunately! I did a flag dance for a production called Light Out of Darkness using Red and Silver flags and i was told from the audience themselves that it looked awesome - with the lights and the shimmer it looked like flames of fire which just blew me away! Perhaps you could do a video showing your moves in slow motion! and if you send me your email, i could send you a copy of the production that i played in!

  • I think I felt the spirit of the lord

  • I love flag worship. This was just beautiful, beautiful. You are really anointed with the flags.

  • what is flag worship? and where does it come from. Or is it tin the bible? I've seen it but do U have an idea? Thanx

  • Flags or standards are used often in the old testament. Also called banners. When Israel would encamp around the tabernacle, each tribe was camped according to his standard (flag). Also, when they went to war or marched, they were to carry the standards or flags. They mostly representd warfare, Just the sound of the flags as we wave then and minister with them declares war. And, since His banner over us is Love, should we not wave love back to Him with banners of worship.

  • No, I don't think that we should wave flags back @ him bc if he wanted us to do so he would have commanded us to. Besides it's told to us all through through the word not to add or take away from the word. but I do understand the whole banner standard concept, but the only time flag appears it does not mean that it means reeds, marsh plants, rushes. But so much for that, we can't add worship he said in his word he does not like that.

  • God also does not command us to worship Him with singing. Should we not do that either?

The reason I use banners in worship is described in Psalm 20: We will shout with joy when we are victorious, we will lift up our banners to our God!

Banners are used for a few different things (Biblically based), such as declaring warfare (Isaiah 13:2-3) and calling people together (Isaiah 5:26, Isaiah 11:12) - I think this refers to God calling his people back to Himself.

  • Also, your last sentence "we can't add worship he said in his word he does not like that." - what exactly do you mean?

  • Deu 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

But starting @ Deu 12:28 We do a lot of stuff in church that Heathens do and call it worship but it comes from pagan/heathen practices I only read in the bible the foul kings had dancing girls. This also go for mimes it is a pagan thing. Yes we do dance but it is not rehearsed but spontaneous now that's dancing like David, not W/ coreography & arts this is not bible. It's true SIS.

  • Jer 31:7 For thus saith the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O LORD, save thy people, the remnant of Israel. And yes in Psa 20:5 it was not saying to use any kind of ol' banner, what was the banner David held up? What color what was it? U can't just GUESS add/take away and say we will use this. Dave used a standard/banner of ISRAEL and it was not that blue star flag that was made after David died that was a modern flag

  • The first reference of dance in the Bible is Miriam the prophetess (sister of Aaron and Moses) in Exodus 15:20-21

Also, Ps 149:3-4, is a good reference for dance.

And as you mentioned, David danced before the Lord.

As for choreographed dance, I believe God an inspire a dance before hand - not everything must be spontaneous, much like a preacher could hear a word for God before the day he is to share it.

And of course, if the dancer's heart is not right before God, he/she dances in vain!

  • As for which banner to use, since it is not specified... The way I see it is, God didn't specify which songs to sing either. =) I do believe there is symbolism in the flag/banner chosen (I won't go into that unless you're interested) and I do believe that God leads the dancer to use whichever banner He wants to be glorified with at the moment.

Also, I'd like to say that I'm not trying to convince you that you're wrong. (That would be wrong of me-Rom 14) I'm just interested in your point of view.

  • Accord 2this we R told what 2sing, Eph 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. I know about banners Nwe made up colors also the word never, never said 2dance w/banners un2 Yahweh Again were adding 2the word Nwe gon git it!

  • I'M WELL AWARE of the first dancer/singer mentioned in the bible in fact all of them I've studied that's why I know what we do today is wrong. The bible also mentions songs being taught but not dance there were no levitical dance company Yahweh said not to add/subtract from the word. We can't make this thing up as we go along, Sadly we do. We R to dance spontaneously w/o choreography the bible speaks of dance, Yes indeed if God wanted a taught thing he would of said it like he did w/the singing.

  • @theodancergurl This was excellent i am so impressed!

  • @theodancergurl who is singing?
