Few days ago, my 15 year son discovered this song. He couldn't stop playing the chords on his guitar and singing it over and over again. Next morning he had to treat his fingers that were destroyed after having played the song for .... several hours. I cried for you Rory, listening to this wonderful rag. You will always be the best. I hope new generations discover and remember you for ever.
You know when ever I watch Rory I always find myself wishing he and Stevie Ray could've played together. I can't really think of two blues muscians who were as dedicated to their music as those two were and I doubt we'll see the likes of Rory and Stevie again
Hi Goat, two blues guys you might not have heard of that were truly great in their own ways were, Rainer Ptacek and John Campbell. Now imagine this: Rory, Stevie, John and Rainer all up there in heaven playin' the best blues gig you've ever seen!!! Yeah and Robert J sits in half way through the gig. That's my kinda gig.
No disrespect to any other modern day blues guitarist and singer, but Rory was the best of them all, no doubt about it. He's the best that ever lived. God Bless, Rory.
well I dont know about best. Best is subjective, but Rory is my favorite, and there is no equivication. Lot a great pickers in the world, different strokes and all, but Rory's range in styles and his respect for the music and his fans is unparalelled. RIP Rory, will meet you someday in the great beyond and I will personally thank you.
I simply fell in love with this song. I heard it once on the radio. Then I decided to look for the song and its singer. Later on I found out that I've become a Rory's fan.
Really, I think he was the king of the blues for the time he was alive. Just like the late great Robert Johnson, Rory was cut short way before his time. The man never let a crowd down. I hope to be as good of a singer/songwrite/guitar player someday. (not gonna play a mondolin though, lol, Goin to my Hometown)
Nice one Rory,
Nice one son!

Maybe the best guitarplayer of all times this man, he makes clapton look like a cissy. A pity the man died...

"Rory makes Clapton look like a Baby."
You got it, man. He was raw power! An intuitive guitarist. He never played a song the same way twice. I miss him.

Rory is the symbol of the modern blues. He was such an amazing guitarist.
