  • I realize u are a stay at home dad but really REALLY u have a lot of time on ur hands dude

  • yes your right pixiar ripped off pee wee hermans monster

  • yes

  • If Monsters Inc was bad it would be a rip off but it was good therefore its an homage. :3

  • @RoyKidman3 They may be paying Pee Wee homage, but I'm pretty sure they're not paying Pee Wee royalties. I think it's more of a copyright violation.

  • @pectinmania I wasnt really being serious. I don't know to be honest, I don't think it was intentional... it was probably more of a coincidence.

  • @RoyKidman3 I didn't think you were.....but it is unusually similar in appearance. The voices make them seem a world apart.

  • @pectinmania I think if it really was a rip off then there would probably have been lawsuits by now... however I would believe it if this was an influence.

  • why was it on adult swim

  • PEE WEE HERMAN IS SOOOO CUUUUTE <3 <3 <3

  • To be honest I am more curious about that Templar looking cross on Pee Wee's floor....can someone explain that?:P

  • nope

  • Monsters Inc's Eyeball Monster(90's)= Peewee Herman's Eyeball Monster(80's)=Rick Griffin's Underground comic's Eyeball Monsters (70's)=The Crawling Eye (50's). Tropes are derivative

  • thanks sponge bob

  • globey .. is different..

  • if that's the case then they both ripped off Shuma-Gorath. Green and cyclops can describe a lot of monsters and if they did "rip off" it'd be more obvious, like The Lion King/Kimba The White Lion

  • "Everybody in MonsterLand loves your show! We used to be afraid of it, until we understood it." That is the wisest, most meta comment I have ever seen on a television show.

  • WHOOOOO GIVES A F*%#!!!

  • You went out of ur way to make this vid? JESUS whats wrong with this world !

  • no...it doesnt seem likely that pixar riped off pee wee.... i mean a one eyed monster is a very popular monster character design there r alot of coinsidences, (lol sry if i spelled it wrong) its up 2 u wat you think! :)

  • YES PIXAR SUKS *****

  • @tabuuify Like your mom

  • -Did Disney rip-off...

    -yes...

  • why is Peewee's playhouse on Adult Swim?

  • @WumWip It was on for a time in 2006, mostly as a prank on viewers who hate live-action on the network

  • they look very different

  • MIKE WAZOOOOWWSSKI WOTCHO DOING THAAR

  • I used to be a beetle.

  • Not a rip-off! Mike from Monsters Inc. has two legs. This monster has one. Mike uses his whole mouth when he talks. This monster uses one side of his mouth. They both have one eye, but TV has done that for years and years. So no, Pixar did not rip off Pee Wee. Sorry, but no!

  • u have alot of time on ur hands

  • yes i think they did

  • Disney ruins lives

  • such controversial matters require political attention

  • I don't thinks so, Mike Kazowski has 2 legs, his arms have hands, has horns, and his mouth is in it a different place. He was funnier too, different personalities altogether.

  • YES THEY DID THEY ARE RETARDED!

  • Two of my faves -- Pee Wee's Playhouse and Monsters Inc. (and I'm almost 53!)

  • YOUR MOM

  • Prehaps it was Pee Wee tribute

  • Yes

  • wtf

  • look!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • disney doesnt have shit now

  • So did Allen Covert post this video or what?

  • @gamerunknown silly troll, it wasn't child porn :)

  • Its green and has only one eye. A green monster is an obvious choice. Different numerations of eyes are obvious choices.

  • I wonder if Peewee used that defence when getting caught with child porn. ("I can't help the way I look")

  • @gamerunknown it wasn't child porn you fuck wad..he was jerking off in an adult movie theater....

  • @johndillinger1932

Nah, there were naked pictures of children in his house. He said he bought a collection of old pictures in bulk and didn't excise any risque ones. But a better defence would have been the above.

  • is it me or does the voice over guy kinda sound like Bob Sagget?

  • I like mike. He's awesome.

  • i dont think Pixar ripped off Pee-Wee. its either a coincidence that they're alike or Roger gave Pixar an inspiration for Mike Wazowsky

  • WTF?! Im gonna have some nightmares about peewee... T_T Why are so many kids shows sooo creepy?

  • WTF WHY IS A KIDS SHOW ON ADULT SWIM

  • the kid is black

  • Pixar did steal the idea. It was on a subconscious level, the mind tends to forget where these original ideas came from. But once your idea is copyrighted, it shouldn't be stolen but seems to be happening all the time now. Pixar should admit to this mistake, or theft!

  • @iluvherbludd Pee Wee probably got it from somewhere else though. The idea of an eyeball monster has been around for ages!

  • YES THEY DID

  • giant eyeballs are awesome? his voice even sounds the same... everything seems to be a copy of something that previously existed...

  • No.

  • illuminati one eye representing sun god building up the arrival get used to the one eye its everywhere waiting for the arrival of the antchrist

  • yes pixar did rip off pee wee

  • what's pee wee herman doing on adult swim? isn't it like kid show or something.

  • People!!! This is not Mike Wazowski!!! Is Shuma Gorath!!

  • @DeusaDaMorteKingdoom Disney owns that too. :3

  • @DeusaDaMorteKingdoom OH THANK GOD SOMEONE RECOGNIZED HIM 1000 thumbs up to you!

  • Maybe

  • OMGIHATEPIXARNOW

  • They put it on Adult Swim for a reason dad....it involved a theater and not his pants...

  • big daddy roth is the one they rip of from him

  • hi

  • Holy fuck on a studio, that thing is creepy.

  • yes.. and Wall E looks like Johnny 5

  • i still say peewee's playhouse is creepy.

  • Hmmmmm, well...I don't know.

  • I think not!

  • @TeamStreetEllusions yeah yeah go tell mommy pussy :P

  • its a evangelical Christian/republican plot, is'nt it obvious?

  • Pixar didnt steal. Its just that their both cyclops

  • Pee wee sue pikar

  • yes

  • Mike wizowski!!!!!!!!

  • no

  • pixar got an idea from pee wee herman

  • Youre a stay at home dad, no wonder youre a spineless liberal. Your wife wears the balls.

  • Yes they did rip him off and I think SpongeBob is a spinoff of the peewee character

  • The narrator sounds like the guy at the beginning of Law & Order: SVU intro...

  • Thats how people get new ideas to make things better. So i dont think Pixar ripped off Pee Wee's Playhouse...just my thought.

  • No but Toy Story 3 ripped off The Brave Little Toaster

  • @CainmosniMirrored how can john lasieter steal from himself?

  • Yeah they did

  • A green Cyclopes? I'm sure that idea has been around for centuries before Pee Wee or Pixar existed. Pee Wee's was more original with the sideways mouth, but this is hardly a ripoff.

  • Things like this really makes me hate Pixar...!

  • The eyeball monster concept has been around for a very long time, I say it's a coincidence that they are both green

  • Dude, James Franco watches Pee Wee's Playhouse?

  • Hardly say it was a rip off just because one of the characters looks similar. Story wise, Monsters Inc is - as far as i'm aware - completely original. The guys at Pixar may have just seen this and thought 'Yeah that's an interesting design, lets build on it.'

  • nooooooooooooo they didnt

  • thats total crap. if i were him i would sue pixars ass so that those bitches wont steal any more of his fucking ideas

  • Your voice is as smooth as a rock covered in silk. Gravelly yet smooth. I love it.

  • It wouldn't be surprising. Plenty of animators study older films/shows for inspiration, and it would be easy enough to take an idea of a monster shaped like that (from PeeWee) and make slight changes.

So...ripoff? Possibly. We need to demand answers from the character designers! :P

  • it's no surprise that someone calling himself "liberal viewer" would classify himself as a "stay-at-home dad". in other words: he's fucking lazy.

    .

and no, FAGGOT; nobody stole anything from anybody. for fuck's sakes...

  • @thirtyoneuniform

lol made me laugh and im a liberal

  • @M0EJ0EKING no, this made you laugh BECAUSE you're a liberal. you're biased.

  • @thirtyoneuniform

i was talking about your comment made me laugh.

but your personality sucks no doubt

you dont know anything about me or my political views

calling me biased for having a different political view only shows you dont know what the hell politics is

  • @M0EJ0EKING "...your personality sucks..." ...yeah right, that's why you lol'd. nice try.

  • @thirtyoneuniform

making funny statements and personality is two different things

  • @M0EJ0EKING *making funny statements and personality ARE two different things.

  • @thirtyoneuniform

didn't no i was talking to a college professor lol.

you suck at arguing when you go to grammar for your last resort

    troll off /b/tards

  • @M0EJ0EKING didn't KNOW you were talking to a college professor.

  • @thirtyoneuniform are stay at home moms also lazy or does your ignorance toe the gender line?

  • @Napalilli yes faggot, that's exactly what i was saying. you got me there. i was hoping you wouldn't be able to infer my animosity toward women, you know, because of how sexist i am, but you did it anyway. kudos, jackass.

  • @thirtyoneuniform ooh lovely! a homosexual slur as well! Officially disengaged. At ease there, soldier.

  • Paul Rubens ripped off pee wee by touching himself in public

  • Gosh, I guess Leela the cyclops from Futurama is also a ripoff? Oh, wait, she's not green, you know, the colour of LOTS of cartoony monsters.

  • they dont show pee wee on adult swim any more :( crap

  • Well, i had to know, from which year the episode of "Pee-Wee´s Playhouse" actually is! When it came out earlier than "Monsters, INC", then it could be true. Bur i wouldn´t say they riped him off. They were just inspired by the Monster-character from Pee-Wee, i think.

  • @TheDeppert How old are you man?? OF COURSE Pee Wee's play house was on the air BEFORE that monsters movie..Probley 10 YEARS AT LEAST.... So yea

  • @SuperTimeConsumer

Well, sorry, man, but i´m from Germany, so i didn´t watch the show, so i didn´t really know when this show was on air. But now i have a book about Tim Burtons Films and there are some informations about it and i know more.

So, never mind, it´s all okay.

  • @TheDeppert lol its ok man, I just assumed there was ageneration gap there lol

  • @SuperTimeConsumer

Hey, no problem, forget it. But thank you, anyway.

  • No I don't think so. They're both green monsters with one eye. What are you gonna do?

  • no

  • they show it on adult swim?

  • @iguanabreeder13 they did quite a while back. may have been a year or two ago.

  • @iguanabreeder13 They used to, but now its gone.

  • There was a giant eye in Garth Marenghi's Darkplace that looked similar to that eye..... it had its way with a hospital orderly in an attempt to start an alien invasion that would envelop the world. (though that eye was red)

  • probably stolen or inspired tell me

  • ... no.

  • yes

  • Yes they did. Like Asher Roth stole Willi Rockwells gig.

  • Dude. I think you are totally on to something here!

  • Ok, so they have green skin and a big eyeball. It's not like it would be hard to come up with a character like that from your own imagination.

  • you know they were going to make him with one leg to..ha

  • They were inspired by, not ripped off.

  • well if u put it that way thats like saying sony ripped off zenith because sony made a tv that looked like zeniths

  • @Dal13on if you listen to the words of the Pee Wee monster he said the monsters were scared of them at first. But that's pretty much the whole plot of Monsters Inc.

  • @electorg true

  • Yup.

  • YES YES YES YES

  • 1 on pee-wee has a blue and the other guy is green

  • probly ,theres a resemblence but a little bit diffrent

  • Maybe the writers grew up watching Pee Wee's Playhouse. All of our creativity can be traced back to something else. Most of my humor is of Monty Python and Weird Al in nature and whatever else I thought was funny when I was a kid.

  • No i dont think they did.

  • considering i thought the thumbnail was mike, they ripped em off for sure

  • 0:38-0:47 I think this line basically sums up the whole show, there. Of course, nobody will probably ever understand it...

  • They totally ripped it off! PEEWEE FTW!

  • Pixar just got the idea I guess. No one should have to pay anyone. Go cry. Pixar did it better!

  • i thought the monster was going 2 fart at first

  • I think it was only a coincedence.

  • @superjakeanddogs

Because all of the kids that used to watch it when it was originally aired are adults now

  • I find this far from a "Striking Resemblance". It's green and has a big eye. Google Green One Eyed Monster, and see what comes up! A crap load of stuff both predating and postdating Monsters Inc.

  • hope Pee Wee got paid

  • But no I think they didn't. There has always been things called cyclops and just because they are both green doesn't mean anything lol. People are always going to try and hate on the high top great companies.

  • u have far to much time on your hands

  • PIXAR MUST GO DOWN!!!!!!!!!

  • @insideoutboy100 pixar goes down on your mom

  • hmmm not really, that monster is pretty bland

  • @superjakeanddogs watch it when you're high....

  • Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

  • Doubt it; apart from having one eye and being green, the monsters look pretty different.

  • @Idefeatedthesystem ahhhhhhhh you said the secret word

  • Uploader, look up "Suezo" from Monster Rancher.

  • No.

  • I'm sure the pixar people watch Pee-Wee's playhouse all the time. Pee-wee was a staple for kids in the 80's I watched that show every Saturday morning! :)

  • idk

  • For the record, Pee-wee's Playhouse had a lot of animation, and there's a chance a few artists who worked on that animation would later work for Pixar. In fact, John Lassetter, who has been leading Pixar for quite some time, was in the same Cal Arts class as Tim Burton, who directed Pee-wee's Big Adventure. So if it was intended, it was probably tribute, but honestly, I don't think anyone cares.

  • COPYWRIGHT THE RETARD

  • HAHAHA

"pee wee cracks me up too"

  • they're both similar, but not so identical I would think rip off.

  • Is that Tom Kenney?

  • not really

  • lol no.

  • Wazowski!

  • Shut up dude...they didn't rip off pee-wee, besides the eye, they look totally different..this is a waste of a video

  • What? No... but... No. Never.

  • The monsters are close, but if you check out Pee Wee's monster his eye literally takes up his entire head and his mouth is off center. His legs are also fused together. Mike Wazowski is more evenly spaced with his eye only taking up a small area, his cresent shaped mouth much larger, and his egg blobby body filling him out. So...No...but good catch nonetheless :)

  • i think pixar should paid royal to the guy who play as pee-wee

  • @VectorPrime2007 Are you suggesting that Pixar should pay a loyalty to Paul Ruebens?

  • @lesvampyre why yes he was the first one think up a one eye monster

  • yes
