paul1900ca... I am from bengal. I wish Tamil Nadu shared its border with Bengal too. That man Illaiyaraja is a genius. I remember as a kid I would watch regional movies which came on Doordarshan in the afternoon only if had music by Illaiyaraja. Maaan...he is music himself. Just try out classics like Sagara Sangamam, Swathi Muthyam, Mouna Ragam, etc., etc.... actually the list is so big I can keep writing for ages. I still laugh, cry and romanticize with his songs and background score.
