i like notre dame, but i don't think they will ever be able to get back to the super powerhouse of a program they use to be, atleast not in the near future. their acadmic requirements have always been harder then most, but now they're starting to rival those of stanford and most of the ivy league schools. having such high standards, and lack of winning the big games lately, it's going to be tough for them to be able to pull in more 5 star recruits like they have in the past.

the problem with clausen is that he never faced much competition in high school. i live in L.A. and the little known secret is that Christian Oaks (clausen's high school) NEVER faced any good teams. of course, once they played real teams, they lost as much as they won. at christian oaks, jimmy never faced any really good defenses during the regular season. as for the new hair, that's because people kept making fun of him: saying he was already balding and saying he looked like an ostridge.
