  • interesting interviews.

  • I'm scared that my Congressman is like this.

  • how come this video is more than 10 minutes

  • blocking. he was just talking, saying what he wanted to say. Not answering the questions.

  • what a bunch of bullshit softball questions. He didn't answer a damn thing and talked about history. He offer no solution or strategy on how to fix the health care problem.

  • how about the part that puts anyone on permanent government disability for bogus injuries that taxpayers pay for in the billions. This is already a problem. No work ethic means communist views and taxes over 60%.

  • no shit he's republican

  • HE would use a MAC

    D:

  • Left us out, that's BS............ What they should do is leave them out because they do not want to help people......... They are more concerned about politics than saving us from the crooks who run the insurance co. Lets have a Super Tuesday Vote let the people decide.

  • You Tube the name " Wendell Potter " and see what you are supporting if you are opposed to reform.

Health Care For Patients, NOT For Profit because Health Care For Profit is Health Care DENIED.

Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should an insurance middleman come between a patient and his/her doctor - particularly, if the insurance middleman stands to gain from it.

To put it simply, IT'S A CONFLICT OF INTEREST.

  • The average margin of profit of the medical insurance industry is 3% - 5%, which is dismal by most standards. Do you expect firms to incur a cost upon themselves to cover everyone? Where do you suppose the bulk of their revenue is being directed?

  • They need to find another way to make money we need medicare for all, every one in, no one out.

  • At the expense of who?

  • Morally there is no monetary argument for this issue, try again. Fiscally I am normally very conservative however; when making tough decisions like this I revert to Immanuel Kants categorical imperative (CI) and I cannot find any argument that supports letting people DIE because they do not have the resources to adequate health care. Hedging a bet on someones life has just so many things wrong with it!!!!!!!!

  • I don't object to the end, that being a state of affairs in which all individuals are able to receive healthcare. Before continuing, what system do you advocate specifically? Legal monopsony, public competitor, et cetera?

  • What we know is 18,000 to 22,000 die because of the lack of insurance or denial of coverage. Knowing that fact there is no moral argument opposing reforms NONE!!!!! Insurance executives should be sitting next to Bernie Madoff in Federal Prison i.e. what they are doing is nothing more than a ponzi scam.? Let Bernie out or prosecute the Insurance executives.

Support for this bill is a categorical imperative

  • robb1031, 80,000 people a year die from medical errors. Damn if you do, Damn if you don't .

  • ultraquality video

  • All of these Republicans are just throwing out propaganda, and disinformation.

This guy can't afford to alienate his nutsy right wing base, so he couldn't tell the truth even he he wanted to -- so we get only gobbledegook.

The insurance industry is spending $2 million dollars a day to disrupt townhall meetings

WHY? Because their profits are up 5X in the last decade. Do you think they want to give that up?

How much has he received from Insurance companies, big pharma, and the AMA?

    Duhh!!!

  • The left (dems/libs/socialists) has outspent conservatives by 12:1 according to CNN last week.

Socialists/liberals spread more propaganda than Pravda did during the cold war.

This is the same group whose leader is quoted as saying, "spread the wealth" and "making those who have help those who have not to be able to afford healthcare".

    Socialism is not American.

  • 18th yes

  • This is cool but you should feature it so it gets more notoriety... This could potentially have hundreds of thousands of views if it was marketed correctly.

  • There's no point in asking politicians questions...they say everything BUT the answer.

  • OK. Latta is a Republican. That says a lot.

  • thats latta!!

  • Exhaustive evidentiary materials on our family being targeted by McCain administration following profiling attack aboard McCain affiliated Northwest Airlines - multiple attempts upon my abduction, family friends terrorized for 3 years ongoing now: please view McCainAttacks(dot)blogspot(dot)com

  • pre selected questions are not journalism- sorry

  • they were "pre-selected" by people who submitted and voted on them. the point of these interviews is to let you have access to political figures by asking them questions you care about.

  • right - I understand, but its still not journalism though- are average YouTube viewers the very best we can do in a representative democracy? The CNN YouTube debates seemed to highlight the worst of US politics: featuring the quirky, goofy and unplanned off-the-cuff questions. Instead of gravitating to the lowest common denominator - why not use the vast power of YouTube for real investigation and seeking out the VERY best questions our best citizens can come up with?

  • We are a constitutional republic not a representative democracy. Hence, the Bill of Rights.

  • Hello, I'm Jim and I wanted to thank you for asking my question.

  • This man is terrible...

  • Republican bullsh*t... he's merely lying about stuff that does exist in the bill, inventing stuff that doesn't exist in the bill, and raising fears with side issues.

  • Ok I watched the first five minutes and he said absolutely nothing. Then I came down here are started typing and now he is talking about how the Administration is making mistakes by not listening to the Republicans.

How can anybody listen to you if you don't say anything?

Well it's now up to eight minutes and all he is doing is giving opinions of suppositions on propositions.

    I give up.

  • This was a good interview. Gives the people a voice, and demands answers. The majority of the world turns to youtube as a resource so why not meet the people where they already are?

  • we need health care reform even if the gov't increases the tax to 60 percent

  • lame attept to make youtube seem important ...

  • becouse it alredy is!!! :D
