@fourmunkys 'cause there's a whole world outside of korg gear. Also with more than two knobs you can change more than two parameters of the same effect, the touchpad X/Y is limiting in this way. heck, why wouldn't you just learn to use pure data and program an entirely customised filter system of your own.

@Beatboxbob Thanks man, this is just what i think when i look this videos, some people dont realize that the KO an KP are just a toy with a bash of preset sounds beside "real" analog music production devices.

I assume you are referring to the Korg Kaossilator.

There is a 3-character display. It just does not show up very clearly in the video.

its not a screen, it's a touch pad. you know what you are tapping with the effect number in the top left screen.

probably need to make your own drum loops, but it can probably be done. It has 100 diff sounds, i'll bet you can use a few for your purposes.

Nope. The Kaos pad shown doesn't have a midi connection; the frostwave pedal is obviously analogue.

Yeah, you'd need an external/USB soundcard to record into something like Ableton or even Garageband

all u need is a rca to a line in then a program like garage band.

TURN ON, kaossiator while hold down TAP/BMP and LOOP REC/PLAY buttons and "DLY" appears on display.

Release both buttons ,KAOSSILATOR initialize.

Then press again TAP/BMP and LOOP REC/PLAY , rotate clockwise PROGRAM/VALUE and you can set up to "16".

Then record anything.

To erase recording press both LOOP REC/PLAY and SCALE , and "ErA" appear on display, so while pressing both buttons ,rotate PROGRAM/VALUE clockwise and "Clr" appears on display, release both buttons and memory is free now.
