Do NOT use MSconfig to do this stuff. MSconfig is designed for troubleshooting, NOT to be used as a startup manager. If you DO use it as a startup manager, you will be EXETREMELY susceptible to viruses and malware. It happened to my other computer. Look, buddy, you ARE indeed responsible. Stop telling people this. Usually i'm more conservative when removing programs. I remove things which I know about, and google the ones that I don't know about. This way, ill not remove things that are necessary.

The malware erased or didn't let me access any restore point functions, even in Safe mode. I'm guessing that this is because I turned off the wrong things. But yeah, you really shouldn't use MSconfig if you don't know what you're doingl it can lead to SERIOUS problems....

HELP ME!! When im on the startup and I do all those things, after i check the items i want on my startup it says An access denied error was returning while attempting to change a sever. There is nothing fake about MSCONFIG or turning off processes to make your computer start up faster.

If you are having trouble, go to MSCONFIG and enable all under Services and Startup tabs and then restart your computer. Your computer will start back up slower but you will have all of your old processes running again. If you can't understand what a process does, google it so you know first before disabling it.

Yes disabling progrmas that start on start up in msconfig is good just make sure not to disable any services in msconfig always use services.msc for that.
