iim 21 in the era. i talk alot about movies with friends. this honestly was the best movie i have ever seen. love the setting, unifomrs, acting, and charictors.
Movie's a bit slow in the beginning. But it picks up, and even the beginning has much that's worth watching. It's good about halfway through to the end, and it isn't bad at the beginning, just a bit slow. But they didn't still realize quite what they had in Flynn.
I read book, based on this trailer alone, and kind of disappointed that the scene between Captain Blood and Arabella never happened. Will probably still watch movie, since I read the book... was a good read, just not what this trailer seemed to advertise.
Great film and what a STAR. This along with THE SEA HAWK, and THE CHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE never bore me and i could watch them over and over. Thanks for posting.
This is the only known film ever made about the over 150,000 whites sold into slavery for ten or 15 pounds each. You won't find reference to whites being slaves in America, only "indentured servants". But in fact, slavery was color blind. Why has this been forgotten by history? See this movie, if you want a glimpse of the side of slavery erased from our history books.
@PopeFlores Few people realize that in the 1600s the English were trying to wipe out the Irish and that records weren't kept about a group that was considered lower than African slaves, both in profitability and in their ethnicity. Also, few people know that, on a lesser scale than the Japanese, Germans and Italians were also put into internment camps during WWII. Perhaps the Irish, Germans and Italians decided to forego victimhood status and put the past behind them.
I'm reading about old Hollywood where is the version with J Warren Kerrigan? He was known as the first leading man of cinema.

Still looks good - amazing. We may or may not like him, but he had something rare.

What a cast! What a movie! I've seen it on the big screen here at the Stanford Theatre and it's marvelous. Thanks.
