  • @tennisgurl206 Win is a genius too :)

  • @wilzer808 it's edwin. and wikipedia?

  • what is Win's full name?

  • Where the fuck is Will???

  • "You guys are the flavor of the month..."

    "Mmmmm." *belly rub*

  • Win always has fun expressing himself in interviews and Regine clearly does not enjoy them.

  • win is winning!!!#

  • Regine always looks kinda sad in these things :/

  • lol "yummy...delicious!"

they would've never imagined that in a few years they'd rule the world

  • The description for this video is an utter fail.. the band is from Montreal, the general assumption would be that they all (most, at least some) have an accent (French one to be specific)?

  • @KEVAN0014

Only one of them has a ''Montreal french'' accent when speaking in english (Régine). The others have accents from across Canada (presumably not noticeable to the average north american) and Texas (it's obviously not of the typical southern-drawl variety)

But yes the description is a fail lol

  • Lol, I've never seen an Arcade Fire interview. Lolo this is weird.

  • Regine's parents immigrated to canada from haiti. They were french. Regine was born in montreal Canada in 1977. She's French-Canadian and isn't from haiti. her family was.

  • @TheGaryNOVA I think that makes her partly french.

  • WHERE IN THE HELL IS MY LOVE------>Sarah Neufeld??????

  • Win's speaking voice doesn't sound like his singing voice at all.

  • shes french dummy

  • @becanshrman Haitian/canadian

  • @becanshrman no she isn't French she's Haitian.

  • I just realized I've never seen a single Arcade Fire interview (just read a few) and I've been a fan for six years. LMAO time to catch up

  • I have an accent. Weird.

  • I fucking love arcade fire

  • Win's sweater should be in a museum

  • theyre so young and cute!

  • He sure does say 'like' alot

  • lol Win rubbing his tummy at "flavor of the month"

  • aaawwww before they got any good at interviews! Baby Arcade Fire! how many times does Win say 'like' i wonder? haha

  • Umm, she has a french Canadian accent. The band's based out of Montreal. What did you expect?

  • I'm kind of in love with every member of Arcade Fire... Haha

  • nerd pwr xD

  • god they've grown up so much. I'm in love with Win and regine

  • Regine, if you're reading this, leave your husband for me. I have Cheesy Wotsits and Beer; you know it makes sense.

  • Why is Régine having an accent weird?

  • @verokil she's from Québec

  • @goddammTVandradios I know. You didn't understand or misread my question.

  • @goddammTVandradios She's from Haiti

  • @williestratton She was born and raised in Quebec. Her family fled Haiti in the 60's.

  • Damn Win's hands are freakin HUGE!! At one point his hands are by Regine's head and theyre like 2x the size of her head! Holy crap

  • they all have french canadian accents

  • @jjay75

    uhh no

  • @jjay75 Win is from Texas...

  • Neighborhood #1 should not be used as a background track. It's too holy.

  • They said "like" about 20 times..

  • @iscaylis haha yeah, caught that too.

  • Whats with all this regine has an accent...everyone in this vid has an accent hers is just different.. ignorant fucks

  • @Freshtilldeathson the oil shortage in the US.. that is hilarious

  • Regine always had an accent.

  • But being pretentious is such fun.

  • Cause RNB is the way huh?

  • whats the song at 0:33?

  • tunnels

  • yeah neighborhood #1 (tunnels)

  • @GabrielBalbontin Tunnels

  • regine's cuteee

  • i think i'd be a little ticked to be called 'flavor of the month'...

  • Regine is half quebecer, half haitian.... her accent is because she's from Montreal. sigh

  • "mmmm! yummy!"

    win is f*cking hilarious.

  • i cant believe regine is haitian damn I'm haitian and she looks white.

  • Her family only lived in haiti until they fled.

  • it´s not hard to tell that it was early in the youtube eera

  • richard is really cute

  • fuck doug benson

  • Regine is a francophone. This is a good thing, not wierd. How is it wierd. She is magnificent. People should have accents, cause not everybody has to sound like American television....people are from all over and accent-free bland N.A english is not what everybody has to aspire to... geesh.

  • Yeah, besides, it sounds sexy!

  • uhhh well N.A. english actually is an accent so you cant call it bland

  • The interviewer is horrific, lol

  • Regine <3 i love this girl

  • voik` on^ duke

  • and tim is thinking.. 'how did i get dragged into doing this...?'

  • horrible interview, what an idiot. look at them. they don't like it at all. i love regine by the way

  • Regine was born in Canada, NOT Haiti. her parents are from Haiti. her accent is clearly French-canadian.

  • clearly

  • very clearly

  • actualy Regin was born in Chicago and her family moved to Montreal when she was 4, but yes her parents are from Haiti

  • not true

  • Regine is class, love her smile

  • The interviewer spoke too much!

  • They use the word "like" a lot.

  • true.

  • shudnt of sed that

    every 3 secs like...like..like

    -.- lol

  • i know, its quite dissapointing

  • shit dude Win has huuuge hands

  • shit interview.

  • shes from haiti

  • Well, her parents are, but she was born in Quebec and grew up there. Also, a Haitian French accent and a Quebec French accent are very different.

  • stop discussing her accent when she talks and start discussing her accent when she sings! and letts all calm down.

  • Guess you can't blame a yank for not knowing anything about the world north of their border.

    Le plus con des continents...

  • Of fuck off! Maybe it's just that she sings without an accent and I don't know maybe the person just assumed she'd speak in a canadian accent. How rediculous.

Grow up and stop insulting people that didn't mean any harm. Pathetic!

  • I dont talk about her accent. Btw Theli24 calm down, dont need to insult anyone.

  • aww I like Regine's accent =D Cool interview!

  • LOL

    yummy. delicious

    hahahah thats funny as

  • Regine is cool as fuck

  • hellz yes she is

  • Regine and her coffee. XD

  • I know she has something with Haiti but looking at her skin I'm not sure her parents are black. Maybe grandparents?!?! I dont know. Maybe her parents are french canadians living in Haiti and she was born in there which making her an Haitian.

  • Its weird because her sister is much darker than she is. Genetics are a mystery

  • just wikipedia it. really.

  • wow...haitian is not a race its an ethinicity...you would be surprise to see the haitins that the media does not show....the media only shows you miserable poor haitians.

  • "Do the anglos in the band speak French, by the way?"

Most Montrealers speak both French and English fluently from childhood. English isn't as popular in other parts of Quebec, and French is popular in alot of Canada. But alot of us are bilingual.

  • Regine was born in Canada but her parents (or grandparents, dont know) come from Haïti and she speaks french, like "Une année sans lumière" on this song she sings. Im french and I can tell you that she doesnt have an english accent when she speaks french.

  • hahaha good one

  • No but she was born there. She could have had a black mother and white father or vice versa! But its probably because she's french-Canadian.

  • Do the anglos in the band speak French, by the way?

  • I don;t think Win does. In an interview he said something about if him and Regine had kids he reckons they'd speak in French so he doesn't know what they are saying.

  • The interviewer is a complete dumb ass

  • Aaaaahaha my favourite part is Win rubbing his tummy and going "Mmm! Yummy! Delicious!" :D

  • everyone has an accent. i love win. he's incredible

  • why does win butler always have some constantly pissed off look on his face. even when hes smilling

  • of course ahe has an accent

  • that host is an idiot and a joke.

  • i love regine and win and richard. this is perfect

  • OOPS i forgot tim! he rules too

  • the host seems like a dick

  • yeah lol typical idiot interviewer

  • they say like alot..lol, so do i

  • Regine has an accent because her main language is French. That's what she learned.

  • That accent is actually french-Canadian

  • Regine has an accent because she was born in Haiti

  • The singer in the band seems like a bit of tosser. He strikes me as being a bit pretentious. Whatever though, he writes good music and that's all that should matter

  • that host is a "big thing".

  • Regine used to live in cogry mill up near burnside way back in the day

  • I think the host of that segment is the next big thing.

  • Arcade Fire>Canadian>French>Cold Sore>French Canadian>this interview

  • boring interview

  • She's from montreal, the band lives in montreal. This is totaly a french canadian accent. They actualy bought a old church that they turned in to a studio near where I work on the south shore of montreal.

  • aw regine is so pretty!

  • Regine is indeed very pretty and so is Sarah!

  • That interviewer is right, those guys are indeed the next big thing.

  • yeah, most people forget this band is Canadian, and sings in French and English. She's a francophone.

  • the intro music sounds a little like bell orchestre..tho it's probably not

  • Actually I heard that Richard and Sarah went on tour with the Bell Orchestra together.

  • ...and?

  • she is from montreal!?

  • She's haitian.

  • (ignore the question mark I didn't mean to put it)

I always thought that her parentage was Haitian but she was a montreal(er?)

  • Her accent sounds more Eastern European to me than French Canadian, but I am pretty sure you're right about her Montreal roots.

  • Pretty standard Montreal French accent, actually. She's from Montreal, her parents are from Haiti.

  • Sparksoffyou, Regine is Canadian of Haitian heritage, therefore she is not Haitian. Her accent is clearly French Canadian, so this suggestion of 'Eastern European sounding' is resoundingly incoherent, especially since she's never lived in Eastern Europe.

  • yea thats totally french canadian. being from canada its plain as day :P

  • she's from haiti
